New update has no chats loading
I was forced to update the app to the most recent version on my new iPhone. Since then my chats are not loading at all. It seems to be stuck in an infinite loop

AVOID - Underbaked
Woefully underdeveleoped. Lacks support of splitview or slideover. Cant reply to notifications. Share menu option is terrible to use and always starts a new thread every time. Zero possibilities with automation. You are better off using the Gmail app or your browser.

Great App
I enjoy using this app, it’s simple to use and works on all my devices. Would be great if there could be a voice note feature for the mobile app otherwise it does what it’s supposed to - get you to chat to people you need to.

Since Google forced me onto this I now get unwanted random chat requests that I can’t turn off.

The chat doesn’t allow you to delete anything already sent like a picture. If this feature could be included. Otherwise the app is okay.

Crashes when a URL with caption is inserted into a chat
If I insert a URL into a chat and it displays the thumbnail of the website, the app crashes. When I submit it, the whole app crashes and it needs to be deleted and re-installed, just be able to work again.
Pretty normal for the low quality, unmaintained apps, on IOS, from Google. This issue has been happening for at least a year across multiple iPhones and multiple IOS releases.

I would give 5…but unfortunately…
Sometimes, when I try reaching out to someone, messaging them over and over again, I see that they don’t always receive the message as soon as it’s sent. For example, I recently messaged someone and they told me, 2 days later, when they came to me in person, that they hadn’t received my messages. I’ve been trying to reach out to someone, who has FIBRE, and they haven’t replied as yet. A lot of the times, I see that the messages don’t get sent until a 3 or 4 days after even. Hangouts never had this problem. I really hope you try fixing it, because if it’s an emergency, and this happens, it’s not going to be helpful at all. I love this app, no doubt about it. It mostly works 100% and I can have a conversation with someone, uninterrupted, for half an hour. But there are times where I wish the app would actually send my messages. Another tiny problem I have with this app, is that it isn’t end-to-end encrypted. I don’t know if I can really tell someone something important on it and know that nobody’s reading it. So I beg of you, please make it end-to-end-encrypted, and fix the ‘not sent until 3 or 4 days after it’s sent’ problem.
