No refunds on false leads
I have been getting false leads. Why would i buy leads of people who are uncertain if they want the services. Some people were even confused on what they got themselves involved in. I tried so many times but i do hope that next time you consider bringing actual leads as promised. Never got what i paid for, just goons and goblins

Small business detriment
This app has so much potential to actually connect businesses and freelancers. The leads should be paid for when they are successful, but they do not. Credits are off the chart expensive, lead quality extremely poor. As a small business you waste money here with no return. Change how you allocate credits and the cost you will have many people happy to use your app.

Perhaps the worst freelance app I’ve tried
This is by far the worst freelancer app, which is a pity because it could’ve worked if these people were serious and not just trying to grab your money.
First of all, for the freelancer, you don’t have a good return on investment, the credits are ridiculously expensive for a model that doesn’t guarantee you will be hired, not that they have to, but considering the fact that it’s a 50/50 possibility, the prices should’ve been more reasonable. Secondly, perhaps the most concerning of them all, is the fact that the leads are so poorly vetted, 90% of the leads have poor details. Some even have people uploading their selfies in the areas reserved for attachments. In web design/Development leads for example, you’ll find people saying they want to be given a chance. A chance at what? Nobody knows!
In two or more leads I saw, the detailed information literally read, “I am a good person.”
For the amount you spend in buying credits, this app is DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Total Scammers
This rating must be a total sham. This company is 100% S C A M M E R S. Do some homework and read review/ to find out, they have disabled Google reviews too. They clearly have a team generate fake positive reviews. Apple should investigate this.
They have taken my money and will not respond. Have sent so many emails, that are just ignored. Noticed later that their "staff" all have the same surname, not even enough imagination to mix that up.
Do not subscribe, buyer be warned.
Our experience with Bark.com has been unsatisfactory. Despite marketing itself as a reliable business platform, Bark.com falls short on multiple fronts. The company has consistently failed to respond to our enquiries in a timely manner, leaving us without support or guidance.
Moreover, the lack of vetting for enquiries has resulted in a high volume of irrelevant messages, often from spammers or job seekers, which has made it difficult to connect with genuine business opportunities. This lack of oversight undermines the platform’s credibility and usability for professional users.
Additionally, there appears to be a misrepresentation of the services and policies Bark.com advertises. These issues not only fail to meet the needs of businesses but also create a frustrating and counterproductive experience.
In light of these challenges, we strongly recommend caution when considering Bark.com as a business referral platform. It may not meet the expectations of businesses seeking a reliable and professional networking resource.

Takes a lot of credit to finally get hired
Bark is a great tool, but it can also take a lot of credits (leads) to finally get hired. Eg I’ve bought 4 of the R800+ credits and have had only 3 hires.

Poor quality leads 8/10 times
Leads are of poor quality majority of the time & IMMENSELY EXPENSIVE. They contain very little detail of work to be done & I’ve had many instances of leads coming through but it’s people looking to be hired to work for contractors not actually clients looking to do work. Their vetting process is extremely poor , they have no person to person communication either. I’ve had premium subscription etc. do not pay for it it’s a waste of money.
I’ve used this app for years , unfortunately I need to use it for the 1/10 jobs I get - if I had more consistent work I would delete the app in a heartbeat.

They try to keep phone conversations going to see how much they get out of the service provider without paying for anything. Professionalism is lacking and we should be able to comment on leads that are “just surfing the App” as we are seriously looking for business.

Impossible to cancel elite pro
I have requested numerous times to cancel elite pro. Email requests are ignored. The fact that they don’t have this functionality on the app to unsubscribe is dodgy itself. Don’t get elite pro as it seems you are locked in.

I asked to cancel my elite pro subscription as it’s useless to me and I can’t use it cause I don’t have credits yet every month they keep taking my money, I’m a photographer and things haven’t been easy, money has been scarce, but every month when I do get it, BARK takes it from me.
I’ve been talking to the support team for 3 months and keep telling them to cancel my account, but they deliberately delayed and my account would keep getting debited.
Now they canceled, the subscription but yet, my account was debited, absolutely TRASH. I would I could send screenshots here.
I am going to make sure I tell as many people as possible about getting this app.

Issues with leads
The idea behind Bark is amazing however I have a problem with the fact that customers who are looking for professionals/services are not vetted enough to determine whether their lead should be posted or not. I have been wasting money over the past couple of weeks purchasing credits and reaching to leads where the individual was only inquiring. Bark needs to do something about this because people are losing money from purchasing credits to reach out to leads that aren’t going to bring in anything.

It’s nice BUT
I have spent days being spammed by absolutely terrible quality leads. Only 3 out of just over 200 leads looked reasonable, however the cost of responding is way too high. A few hundred rand to respond to a lead that may or may not pan out is simply not worth it.
The promise of having your credits refunded if you aren’t successful is also nonsense. If the platform is not giving quality leads that actually lead to an income, refunding my credits is pointless, because deleting the app is the next step.
The app itself is well laid out, easy to use and at first glance looks like there are literally hundreds of leads, which there are, but they are exceptionally low quality, low paying gigs that have cost waaaay to much to respond.
Drop the price of your credits significantly, this way it is worth responding. Thanks for the 50% off promo code, it’s still too expensive though.
As someone who makes my income exclusively as a freelancer, I’m impressed by the design of your app, however ROI on lead generation is important, yours is simply not worth spending hundreds on one lead, to make a few hundred.
