Description

The STss Wallet app is designed for smart metering users and allows you to manage your electricity, water and gas utility payments.
You can check your wallet balance, view recent transactions and make near-instant top ups.
Please note that this app only works with STss and ANGOR clients that are subscribed to STss Metering services. Water and gas utility monitoring as subject to complex compatibility.

Serious inconvenience

Useless app, Buying from our banking apps was way way better.
I have to punch in my card details each time when i want to top up my app wallet so i can request a voucher, It’s just a long useless process to get electricity & water tokens
Which doesn’t even work all the time, Sometimes i have to try 3-4 times for my card to be accepted.

I hate it

This app is seriously the most inconvenient thing ever it literally charges you to do more work than if you could just buy water and electricity on your banking app and not to mention if you try eft it doesn’t work you have to use the most expensive option which is your card and then it times also out whenever it feels like it and takes longer. Every app Balwin makes you use is a nightmare.

Best fraudsters out there

I mean there’s no way Balwin and these people are not cahoots. Every apartment block is stacked with solar panels, which I assume powers most things like the lights and even geysers most probably. Yet, they charge you ridiculous water and electricity charges. It just doesn’t make sense as to how someone living in a one bedroom apartment, and barely ever cooking or home has to pay more than 1200 a month in total. These apartments and the estate is stunning but they screw you with these charges at every chance they get, I can’t wait to get out of this place when my lease expires. There’s no probably no other app on this store that has so many negative reviews by consumers and has no response from the platform owners, tells you something about this company. Wish Carte Blanche could do an investigation into them.

Worst Provider Ever!

I live in a one bedroom apartment.
Can someone please tell me how I manage to use R1200 +/- on a monthly basis when I am hardly at home.
It’s completely outrageous and corrupt.

Appalling

Despicable service from STss. Overcharging for all amenities and leave you with no option but to spend money or be without electricity, water and gas! Shocking especially with what’s going on in the world today. Going from spending R300 a month to R2500 for a one bedroom unit!

Shady business going on

I went away for the lockdown period to stay with family and had turned all the mains off. All adjustments had gone off and I had R+-500 in my account, I took a screenshot as I though it might come handy as stss had proven not to be trusted.
4 weeks into lockdown and not having used any electricity or gas I log into the app and I had -R50.
There was no notification on the app or sms/email for this deduction.
I had proof of because of my snapshots and called them.
They escalated and the set my balance at R400.
I was satisfied that I only lost 150 which has still not been followed up with me.
They are thieves and had I not seen what they did my account would’ve been 550 short with no records.

This app and company is the worst company I’ve ever come across , They charge you money from the top of their heads. The money one loads doesn’t reflect on the application, I have had numerous issues and at this point Baldwin is failing us. This is broad daylight robbery and fraud at its best

Ridiculous scam

This is app is highly inaccurate/corrupt. Charges do not add up and bills become ridiculously expensive with nobody able to explain any of the exact charges. Stss charges more than you actually use, and find any way to deduct money from your prepaid amount. An easy and efficient way of getting away with stealing money, especially as there is no other alternatives to buy electricity.
Example: 2 people in a one bedroom apartment, that are usage-conscious, go through R800 within 3 weeks.

Balwin Properties subjects property owners to use this platform to pay water and electricity. There’s daily deductions and service fees. STss needs to be investigated something doesn’t add up with their fees and charges.

STss conundrum

Dear reader,
If you consider/are staying in a Balwin property. Then watch out for these guys.
A monopoly as to who provides your electricity (agreement/collusion with Balwin I suspect). This app is the medium as to where you will pay your prepaid amounts.
Their “amounts/rates” are extremely high. Plus weekly “updates” on your account balance as the “amount” on the app is not an accurate indicator of your actual usage.
There is a reason why these people continually get negative reviews. They are a thieves. End of.

An app that improves nothing

Imagine being forced to use an app that does absolutely nothing to improve the way you pay for water/electricity/gas. You have to make an EFT to top up your wallet in the app and only then you can pay off your statement? LOL I was sending EFTs anyways off my FNB banking app so how is it any easier than before? Except now we pay extra 10% service fees each time STss make adjustments. Not sure how you guys deserve that money but sure, enjoy.

Worst inefficient APP

I can’t load electricity. Whenever I click on the proceed button, it doesn’t go through. It seems the only way to do it is via EFT which will take 48 hours in order for me to have electricity. Nevermind the fact that I stay alone but I spend more than 900 on electricity... it just disappears!!!

Daylight robbery

My monthly account doubled and we use less and count every usage now. Previous months we had guests staying over and cooked very night and it still was not as expensive as it is now with the STSS wallet. Not to mention STSS and our body corporate just playing the blame game with each other instead of responding to customers cries.
