Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. The cost of the renewal depends on your subscription plan. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal can be turned off in the user’s Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) will be forfeited when you purchase a premium subscription during the free trial period.

Advertising that it can be a universal remote control is one thing; not allowing the user to test it without starting a paid trial just goes to show what a ripoff it is.
If an app doesn’t allow the user to test the functionality and compatibility BEFORE making a financial commitment then I seriously doubt the app is any good. Looks like a scam to me.
Oh and the iPhone doesn’t have an IR (infrared) transmitter so this app can’t be a universal remote control.
Save your money, go buy a replacement remote, it will be cheaper than a subscription based remote control app tied to a single phone.
