Terrible Service
I have been attempting to log a cancellation for over a week because of their horrible service and still no luck. Their customer service is basically non-existent.
After days of hassle I managed to log a cancellation and after a week of waiting, I’m told my cancellation was not logged! They make it impossible to cancel their awful service!

Useless App
On this app, nothing is working. The order process is delayed with no updates at all.
Try ordering something and you get: “An error has occurred.”
The line test keeps spinning forever with no error message or status update it’s pointless.
Every time I start a chat with an agent, if I close the app and come back, the chat is gone.
There’s nothing working on this app. It feels like just an empty shell deployed to the store.

Don’t bother wasting your money
Their agents are never available for assistance on live chat, you wait forever. When you call you get to wait almost an hour only to be transferred to another agent meaning another 30minutes wait then the call gets cut.

Unacceptable service and poor
I am extremely disappointed with Mweb’s service. Every year my package gets renewed with premium increases, and the price hikes are significant, yet the quality of service seems to get worse instead of better.
I am currently on a 30 Mbps package, but my internet connection is extremely unreliable. The network drops constantly, speeds are inconsistent, and streaming is almost impossible. I cannot even watch a single movie without endless buffering and interruptions.
Their customer service is equally frustrating. Calling technical support means sitting in a queue for an unreasonable amount of time, often without getting assistance. I have also been trying to cancel my service, but their app is completely ineffective. It is marketed as a self-service platform to help manage and troubleshoot network issues, but in reality, it offers very limited functionality. You cannot properly resolve issues or process cancellations through the app.
To make matters worse, calling the call centre is just as unhelpful because no one answers, and you can spend hours waiting.
Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience. For a company that continuously increases prices, the service quality and customer support are unacceptable. If you are considering signing up with Mweb, take this as a warning and do your research carefully before committing.

Can never get ahold of customer support
I have been online just to get an invoice cause the invoice on the app does not open and it gives an error. I called and waited online for an hour that was after I attempted to chat to an agent “ Thank you for your patience, we apologise sincerely for the wait! One of our agents will be with you as soon as possible.” I have been waiting now combined with the 2nd call multiple chat attempts for more then 4 hours with no response but circles. Worst this is a service we are paying for I am using my personal airtime for something so trivial as getting a proper statement. Has to be the worst ever customer support system. Will not blame the agents they are just working for people who do not care do their customers. Absolute trash🚮🚮🚮🚮

Indigo, I am with you regarding your complained on the 7 April, same experience on email and paper its all good.
But going on the app trying to Chat to someone Never ever happens like a Never ever story.
The only reason that I want to cancel my contract or Mwebs service is that it’s customer service is BAD its REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD. You don’t get hold of any one, while I am writing this complain or review I am updating the app for the 2nd time now. As it says to make Chat easy for customers, first one did not work so I don’t think second update will work.
Advice Mweb is to fire your service and customer department clean up maybe it will work if not it comes from the top so start cleaning on top so that the below can step up and who ever takes over will step up.
I believe in the next year you will not have 30% left of your customers if it continue like this.
So will try and send an email to cancel and see if it works, other then this I will be waiting on that nice court case and will be happy to spend money to go to court.
I have worked my whole live in service jobs and if it does not work don’t do it, clean up where the problems is, same way you program a software to deal with bugs, so take that principle as a developer you have the tools use it you have to know how and everything I’m front of you so use it.
But if it’s not working clean too structure.

The live chat feature is the biggest waste of time. I have spent days on end waiting for anyone to respond and when they finally did, they knew absolutely nothing and simply ended the chat at the first sign of minimal complexity. In my opinion, a pathetic experience all-round.

Worst ISP in South Africa
Absolutely the worst ISP experience I’ve ever had. The WiFi is painfully slow, constantly unreliable, and nowhere near what you pay for. Customer service is practically nonexistent, you can’t get hold of anyone when something goes wrong. It’s beyond frustrating. This company delivers a completely unacceptable service and clearly doesn’t care about its customers. Avoid at all costs.

Setting up with Mweb is a smooth process but allow me to give you a BIG WARNING. You will not be able to cancel your service with them. Their strategy is to give clients the limited option for cancellation only via the call centre’s cancellation department. Cancellation is not available online, via the app, via email and their cancellations department telephonically is a dead end with no calls being answered. Speaking to any other Mweb agent is pointless too because they only keep transferring you to the dead end cancellations department. Search google and you will found countless others (HelloPeter, Reddit, their own Facebook page and other forums) who have met the same discovery of how Mweb imprisons their clients. No email responses, no call backs, zero response is also seems to be part of their strategy so that you don’t go anywhere at all. They also have no physical offices for you to go to either so they remain hidden from clients while they continue with their malpractice to take advantage of their customers. Taking this up with the law appears to be the only option remaining.

Don’t understand billing

The scanner feature always freezes. The chat is just blank, I can’t start a chat at all. Basically, the app is currently no help for technical issues. You’d need a miracle to get in touch with a support staff even when your internet service is disconnected despite being debited. The app features just don’t work. I want to rate this zero, but I can’t because Apple won’t allow me. Our fibre has been down 3 days. Mweb blames Vuma, Vuma blames Mweb. Mweb worse internet provide in KZN
Mweb as an internet provider is horrible , on a 30 mbs line you are expecting less than a 5 mbs line. Don’t be fooled when it stats month to month because when you decide to cancel your subscription, the router provided will need to be paid back on full as Mweb refuses to take router back so expect to pay upwards of R4000. The app is average.

When you log a query it says logged yet it does not show in your open queries. Been like that for more than 8 months by the looks of other reviews and the last App update was also 8 months ago, so bugs are not being fixed.

Cool app but if you log a query through the app it will tell you that it has been successfully submitted but its never actually submitted, when logging into mweb through my laptop and browsing to Queries it shows no queries have been logged. Mweb must have the lowest budget possible for QA given how the bug where if you use the swipe gesture to navigate backwards and the app crashes has been around for since the app launched. There is an option to log a case, once you do so and it says case logged and then go to the main screen it says no open cases. In addition when you call the call centre they ask for the OTP that is sometimes only sent hours later. With those being the only two methods of support you left stuck.

Finally an App!
So happy that I can have an App to view my account and data usage, only problem is on iPhone when you swipe to go back the App stalls and I need to quit and launch again. Maybe check the menu mapping and fix please.
Otherwise the App’s interface is clean and easy to navigate.
