The app is probably the most unfriendly app have used. The continuous “verify you are a real person” with the annoying puzzles. The circular tagging such as “get the bash app now” meanwhile you are on the app. The lack of Tech gadgets, or the “sales” or “deals” which can normally be found cheaper from other retailers.. the lack of actual sports wear will inevitably send you t sportsman’s warehouse anyway…. Now if one you’ll use your Bash account to buy things on Takealot with payment terms….. that would be useful

Can I just pay for my account without a 1000 authentications
Can you please make the app user friendly, I don’t want to have to spot buses or traffic lights every time I want to pay for my account, even a simple captcha would do, this thing of images it’s abit over the top when all I want is to make an account payment and keep it moving, can something be done, that thing is frustrating.

Very frustrating payment experience
I like the app but ever since I have started using bash I ALWAYS have to add banking details when I make any payment. It's incredibly frustrating. With other shopping apps you are able to save your banking information and it would require the CVV to authorise payment. But not Bash. Its such a tedious experience you actually have to rethink spending on the app at that point. Please fix it

Returns could be better
It would be a great update for the platform to have a in app returns process as opposed to having to chat to a bot. The process was difficult and not easy to follow up with as contact details are also no readily available instead you are directed to the same bot. Beautiful app but the experience can

Exceptionally poor customer service
I rarely write reviews, but this experience deserves a warning to others. This experience was a masterclass in how NOT to treat customers.
My refund for a really poor quality product, that I paid a premium for, has till not been paid into my acccount.
Every attempt to resolve the issue was met with a zero accountability. It felt like they were trained to deflect rather than assist. And imagine being asked for your personal bank statement as proof you’re not lying.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. A company that refuses to stand behind its products and treats customers like nuisances doesn’t deserve your business.

Absolutely pathetic. Dont ever order from them
I ordered a watch that was on special from them and they had me waiting the whole week for it. Whike tracking the order I could see that the courier was not picking up the package so after 5 days of receiving my package I emailed them and asked them what was happening and they said that they would raise the issue. The following day I go to track my package and it says that my online return had been refunded (which I never requested). I emailed them and they said that they never had stock when I ordered, even though that was not what was showed on their website and I already paid for it. I tried arguing with them but it didnt help. Now after waiting a full week for my refund I send them an email asking where my money is and only now do they say that they need a copy of my bank statement even though they previously claimed that the money was already refunded and just waiting to be reflected in my account. So now Im going to have to wait more than likely another full week to hopefully get the money back which I really need.

Do not order from bash
Do not order from Bash. They’re happy to take your money but don’t provide any customer service and certainly not the goods you paid for. I ordered 10 items. I was sent 4 packages. 1 package was open when delivered and an item was missing. 1 item was cancelled a few days after confirming my order with no reason given. 1 item mysteriously changed size, my bad for not checking the confirmation email. 1 item was delivered with the shop’s magnetic security tag still attached. I tried to return the incorrect item through this app and was not able to do that and there doesn’t seem to be a way to get a refund for the undelivered item and they have no apparent solution to the security tags other than going into a shop.

I’m beyond frustrated with the experience I had at your store. Like many people today, I no longer carry a physical card — I use the Bash app with a digital card, which works at none of your Bash group stores.
This morning at Total Sports in Potchefstroom Your system couldn’t process the payment, and no one there had a clue how to handle it. In 2025, this is honestly unacceptable. Needless to say I left the product on the counter and walked out.
Your technology is outdated, your service was useless, and the whole experience made me feel like I stepped back into 2010.🤬

POOR SERVICE
I placed on order on Bash, they said the order was out for delivery and I cancelled all my plans for that day and stayed at home but no order arrived. The following morning when I log in on the app they said the driver couldn’t reach me meanwhile no one called me and there was no missed call on my phone. I called them and they said the order is out for delivery again I stayed and at home and now it’s 00:19 and when I logged in on the app to check what is actually going on it says the vehicle broke down. What’s that? I’m not a 5 year old BASH. Do Better!!! I’m never ever ever ordering again from you guys. I’ll stick to Superbalist

Exceptionally bad customer experience
I wanted to do a return on a Cotton On item that I collected at another store. The Bash app said I can either go into the store from where the item came from (Cotton on) or courier, so I went into the store. Cotton On could only do an exchange, so I headed to the store where I collected the item from as per their instructions where I was told I needed a slip. I eventually got the slip and returned to the store a second time just to be told unfortunately they don't do returns that are not part the TFG group. Luckily the person helping was so friendly and helped me to call Bash to figure out what to do. She thanked me for being patient, they mentioned that so many customers have this exact same issue and scream and yel at them. Bash, be better. These people don't deserve to be treated like this due to the app's shortfalls. Product designers, be better. Make sure you understand the entire customer experience before sending us on a wild frustrating goose chase.
Deleting this app and sticking to Superbalist.

Hi Bash 1st of, I adore your quick delivery and I commend you for that but I bought a pair of bras which were on sale and they are filthy like they have been worn please address the cleanliness of the garments before you dispatch coz your shops are a go to for last minute shopping for anything but the dirt stunt really shakes my love for you. Disappointed
I am deeply disappointed with my recent sneaker orders. While the first pair arrived on time, the second order was canceled a week later due to transit damage. I was informed that a refund would be automatically processed upon cancellation. I am frustrated that I was not given the option to receive the same item, which is still available in my size in-store. I specifically made this purchase to take advantage of the Black Friday sale, and the 10 working day refund waiting period (about 14 days including weekends) is unreasonable. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Clumsy and Disappointing!
This application has been out for a while now, the product team should have improved the return customer experience by now.
I tried to return an item I bought on bash to the correct store for refund and I couldn’t return the item because the cashier did not have cash in their register at 3pm. So now I have to try again tomorrow….CAN THE PRODUCT TEAM SEE THE INCONVENIENCE, HERE!? Either make BASH fully online or equip your brick and mortar stores for the bash customer journey !

Bash has come a long way from when it was launched. Smooth process, easy to navigate. The variety of brands they carry is ever expanding and I love that they’ve introduced me to brands I’ve never heard of before.
They’ve even improved how to log a return. Everything is working exactly as it should.
It would be great if we rate and review the items and even the delivery service. But that’s just me being extra.

I love this app. Everything you need from Dave stores in one place. The various stores could do better in ensuring the stock is updated. There’s plenty times when you check if something is available instore, and it will state it isn’t (by the store not showing up) but if you go there in person the items are there.

Everything was exactly as I expected and the order actually arrived before the time that was expected.
Reading the reviews and I noticed that some people complained about sizes and the inconvenience of returning a product to the store that sells it and my only advice to them is to know your sizes. It’s your fault for ordering something bigger or smaller than you.
The quality of the product is as good as you would see it at your local shop.
Try by all means to double check your order with correct sizes to avoid returning a product simply because of the size.

I usually order online from Bash but everytime my card gets blocked for reasons unknown and then i have to go into a store because they must call the forensic department?? It happened twice already, what’s the use you get the option to shop online but when you do your card gets blocked?? Isn’t it suppose to make shopping easier and effortless without actually going into a store. Now i buy in store because i fear getting blocked again, they ask all your details on the app and they still block you, really useless app.

Horrible app
Please don’t make a mistake and use this app, it’s the worst shopping app ever, I bought items in November most were broken and damaged, I then had to go from store to store returning the items like it was my fault, then I waited for refunds on the items I didn’t want to pick up cause I just knew it would be damaged like the others. I’m deleting the app since my issue was finally resolved last month took about 4 months to solve.
Please don’t buy from Bash just go to the stores even if it’s a long wait in store it’s better than suffering with this app.

Not up to Scratch
This application is honestly a bit of a nightmare, it's not up to scratch, especially when it comes to payments, every month it's a new issue, it logs itself out randomly and you have to login everytime you use it, and when making payments there's always an issue, either it's verifying if I am human and just fails or doesn't even load my account screen and logs out.
The shopping part is top notch but there are other things that could be made easier.

Issues with my order
It’s been over 5 days since I ordered. Each time I track my order it says recipient not reachable then today it said incorrect address. I always order online and I never had issues with my order, there isn’t even a way to put an alternate address. I have been checking my phone for a phone call but nothing and I really need this item before Friday. As soon as I get my order or money back I will delete this app.

This wasn’t a good idea
As a fellow developer and someone who’s been using the Tfg online shopping platform for years, this app is absolutely frustrating.
The response time is very slow and it’s just a fail in terms if functionality and usability requirements.
Go back to the old shopping website/app where each store has their own site but can still switch to another Tfg store.
Bash makes online shopping feel like a chore.

This app and the website are just terrible to navigate. This is a serious downgrade from the previous online shopping experience I used to have with TFG. Just to make one order, I had to navigate the app for a long time to find the item I was looking for because the new interface is so confusing, then after that had to deal with so many blocks just to use my TFG account to pay, which included having to make a call to customer services first.
Honestly, this app and it’s website make it a nightmare to shop TFG brands. Please go back to the drawing board or just go back to the old website/app, because at this rate I would rather go through all my other options before I consider using this app again.

App and website not in sync
It's nice and convenient to have all these TFG stores in one place but the one thing that puts me off is the fact that the App and the website are not in sync making it a double job when it comes to adding stuff in the cart. I can add stuff now on my laptop and not ready to pay and when I am and away from the laptop Now I have to add things to the cart again on the phone.
It is an unnecessary exercise which puts me off completing my order if I have to actually start from scratch again.

My new favourite online shop
I just love the product selection plus the delivery etc is great. Love that it covers so many stores offerings. Such a great addition to online retail in South Africa. Especially at a time when there is so much more fraud in online, it’s great to have a reliable trusted place to get great pricing and value.

My experience
I was quite happy with the service I got, everything I ordered from the service company, I got (correct sizes too).
My only problem is the delivery - separating items delays some deliveries, spreading some to come later than intended but I was happy with them since I wasn’t in a rush to get my items. Had the items gotten here in one day it would have received 5 stars.

Wrong order
I ordered a pair of sneakers on the app from sneaker factory and got a completely different order , received 2 pairs not one of them was the sneaker I ordered , now I tried returning no my nearest sneaker factory to get a refund because they didn’t have the sneaker I ordered in store. They tell me they can’t refund me the store I ordered from must process a refund. Been running around for almost a week trying to sort this out and I fail to understand why TFG is doing business like this? Frustrated
I share the negative views of other shoppers. First time i ordered i got the wrong size. Then you have to drive to the store for a refund or exchange. 2nd time i could not purchase some of the items in my cart. It kept on disappearing. Then when you go back to the purchase page it is still there. I also had a problem with the payment. Took forever then it told me eft is not available. I then had to use my card instead after struggling for so long. I mostly buy on superbalist and take alot as they have a seamless online shopping experience. Please make this app better.

It’s easy to navigate through the app, choosing the product and add to your cart however when I checked out I struggled to to use a credit card payment option it kept on saying I have insufficient funds but I ended up using instant payment.
Bottom line yes I can recommend Bash to a friend.

Massive downgrade by TFG
It’s been one disappointing disadvantage after another with this new bash app. Many features have been removed from the original TFG app. Not user friendly at all. Can’t find things easily. Searching is a nightmare. Can’t purchase a gift card online. Can’t log returns online. Can’t make payment to the account online for days on end. It’s literally one thing after the next. I’d really love the option of just returning to the previous app at this point. I love nothing about the bash app. We just don’t have the luxury of popping into the store for everything the app cannot do.

Not really happy
I ordered on this app and paid but I was just informed that one of the items I ordered is not available and I’m not pleased with this because why did they not confirm if they have the item or not before hand. I’m honestly upset because I was mostly looking forward to that one item that is not available.

Wrong orders
I bought at Sportscene from Bash and they gave me a totally wrong order. Colour and make. I sent them an email and they asked me to go exchange at the store.
The second time I was purchasing from Foschini using the same app and they brought a wrong colour again and I was now offended because wow, how bad is this app willing to drag TFG??? I was again directed to do the exchange at the store.
What is the point of buying online for convenience when one still has to spend more money doing up and downs to the stores that she initially avoided?

Issues with Money Account Verification
Everything seems to work just fine up until I have to checkout using Tfg money account. I can’t pay with the account because I can’t verify my card I keep getting an error message “ unfortunately you can’t use that store card….” So I don’t how to fix this.

Excellent
Can’t vouch for all the bad reviews, I chose everything I wanted and added to my cart. Then fell asleep hahaha, long and short woke up the next morning, everything was still there took out stuff that I didn’t need, made my purchase which was easy enough. I literally waiting on delivery.

Frustrating to use
I have been using the online platform for a while now and I find it so frustrating to use, you go back and it looses half the content or takes you back to the home page which is not even where you started from. I thought the app would be better but it’s just the same, searching for something is just as painful

Great, user friendly app!
Haven’t had a single issue with any of my purchases on Bash. Easily found what I was looking for and transacted smoothly. All my products were delivered within the stipulated time and even had some next day deliveries. Please just take all my money!

Worse service ever with a online store, if only the was zero stars.
The seems to be a serious downfall with tfg, cause this app not only software is it incompetent but the service deliver including quote on quote customer care, they seem not to be bothered about to ur concerns with a lot of misleading information, wouldn’t recommend at all, you’d be adding problems, my advice is go to the actual store and buy there don’t use the app because it’s not worth it and you can already see with these other comments and they are justified, utterly trash and a let down, give us the Sportscene app back and shut down BASH it is not up to standard.

Let’s Take a Drive
This has got to be the most frustrating app to work with.
I’d rather take a drive to the furtherest TFG store I could possibly find than spend 5 more minutes trying to figure out this app.
They say change is good but NOT when it comes to this app, sorry not sorry.
I tried to give y’all some time to improve but ja neh, what can I say.
To the dev team, y’all need to work overtime bc ain’t no way this is the product you happily put your name on - please fix this mess of an app bc chile quite frankly it’s embarrassing.
Also please bring back the following:
1. Being able to see which store has the size I’m looking for so I can take that drive and not use this app
2. Sneaker drop calendar
Lastly, please fix the following:
1. Select a different colour of the same product & show the pics of the colour selected as well as the sizes available
If you could fix the above I could possibly reconsider that downscaling the drive to 1hour

Not happy with the new app
I purchased stuff only for them to tell me they don’t have stock, was wondering then why is it still on their app…
Also they removed option to check stock availability in other nearby stock
This app is inconvenient 😣

Yeah No
I usually try not to be too harsh when leaving reviews however my experience with this app was awful. It’s the same with the website.
First of all the user interface is too busy. One could easily compare it to Mr Price just without the sense of hierarchy. Secondly, what was happening during the developmental stages of this app. Whether it’s from the front end or the back end, this app and website has too many errors in functionality.
To make a simple purchase feels like a mission. And if you think closing the app and opening it again will help that won’t work. You will have trouble inputting any important information while making your purchase and having that information processed as well.
This is a big step down from the previous TFG website. This app and it’s accompanying website kills the purchasing experience. I wonder if any work is being done to improve the app since there are so many negative reviews associated this app.
Closing off this review I would just like to highlight that the poor user experience of this app is not only killing the purchasing experience but it is potentially also harming the brand images of the companies associated with this app.

Very poorly designed and not user friendly.
Just undo everything so we can go back to hassle-free shopping. This app and the website is SO frustrating to use!
The website is already not great to navigate then you’re constantly bombarded with pop-ups to download this app, which is just a more condensed version of the already buggy and frustrating website. For starters, you can fix the colour picking feature in the makeup department, lipsticks especially both on the site and app. Add the size charts and product descriptions to the clothes like they were on the original and perfectly operational Foschini site. Basically just do everything that was done on Foschini and undo whatever annoying “updates” were made. Why fix something that ain’t broke???

Not happy
I’ve just purchased from Foschini on the bash app, and had to refund because the sizes are too small, I ended up at exact store to refund, and was told that they can’t change Foschini items, I do not have a Foschini near me, so I’ve got to go to a mall to exchange at Foschini, I find this totally frustrating as I get to purchase from all the stores via bash, but have to exchange or refund at individual store, what’s the sense of buying online on bash, when I end up going to a mall?, I might as well do all my purchases in s mall which I don’t like cos it’s always too full, no parking etc, so we can’t shop at our own leisure??
I will not be using bash, if it’s going to be like this!
