Loved the app! Was super useful and felt like there was a tool that took patient care as seriously as we’re supposed to. But now all the ads! For what? Medscape has enough money, I mean it’s riddled the with ads, ruined the experience completely. Forget lying in bed and doing some light reading with those bright white ads.

Will be looking for the next best thing, it was great while it lasted…

Extremely User Unfriendly

Why fix what ain’t broke? The latest iteration of this App is really pathetic. All my saved items are no longer there, the drugs list is blank & everything is generally much worse than in the previous version. Medscape used to be my go to medical reference app for my busy clinical practice.

Will now have to find a resource that is more user friendly.

Limited Specialities

As much as I love the Medscape app, I have sadly had to drop my rating for now as it does not have my speciality as an option on the drop down menu (ENT/Otolaryngology), which means all my emails and update notifications are not at all relevant to my speciality. I have been emailing app support since Nov 2017 to try to sort it out but still await the outcome (will update this review thereafter).

Edit: App support has now been informed but in the interim I have been advised to use a web browser instead of the app.

Terrible updates

I love Medscape, but these last 2 updates have been horrible. The app crashes after 15 seconds of opening, EVERYTIME! Please fix this guys, please!!!

Terrible app keeps closing

As a medical student I used to not be able to go a day in hospital without looking up a condition or drug on this app. Since the latest updates it keeps closing the app after 15 seconds. So frustrating and a waste of time.

I have searched a dozen different medications and have had zero success. Also not user friendly. Definitely not worth wasting time on.

Good source of reference.However for me personally i find some of the drugs we get here in South Africa are not referenced in the app.

A Must have for all doctors!

I use this app daily in ward work and to teach!

I can say without a doubt, that it has made my life easier and my briefcase lighter.

I recommend iPhones to all my medical colleagues just so that they can gave this app!

It has definitely saved a life in our hospital, and it’s free too!

I consider it malpractice to own an iPhone and not to use this app!!
