There are many features that are annoying and it is not as user friendly as other cloud storage systems. For example, I have work folders I was added to for old contracts but I can’t delete them.

I am struggling at 69, learning all the ins and outs on DB. I should visit it more frequently to keep up with changes. On my previous laptop I had DB as a folder in my File stag and I could drag and drop files there. Now I have to upload files. Easy, but something new to learn.

No Help Whatsoever
I have a had a dropbox for a while, in the interim my 2-factor authentication was activated. I had since changed cell numbers, and am unable to access my account. I go through the help centre with no success. I then proceed to mail support, who then in an email, that is REGISTERED TO THE ACCOUNT, ask me if i have tried the help centre? Where i have indicated that i don't have my cell number and DO have access to my email, i have the password to my account (which works) and the username (with access to the inbox of the email) but the support ironically gives NO support (almost feels like its bots sending me mails) and/but instead of clear concise instructions on how to access my account without my cell number they refer to the help centre -WHICH DOESN'T HELP AT ALL, no clear instructions, and a 2nd automated mail, simply indicating the ticket is CLOSED. I am still locked out, even though: 1. I have, know and can access the inbox of the username. 2. I know the password. 3. ONLY THING I don't have is the cell-number for the authentication text. 4. I have been through the help centre - NO LUCK 5. I have mailed support - with NO LUCK and reprisal to the help centre - that couldn't help. FIRST PRIZE AND 5 stars to the tech support who responds to this and successfully helps me. Lets see.

Worst experience ever
I wanted to use Dropbox to transfer files from an old laptop to my iPad so I downloaded the app and purchased a plus subscription (which was confirmed by the money coming off my banking app and getting a subscription confirmation from apple) but Dropbox won’t reflect my purchase and when I try repurchase it or restore my previous purchases the app goes into a never ending loading screen. I’ve tried for multiple hours today to get assistance with this speaking to 3 different people from Dropbox all of them unable to help me and I’m just left without my money or a working subscription. I would highly recommend never using Dropbox because should you have any issues their customer support is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Keeps crashing in Files
The app itself works great but when opening in Files app it works sometimes and at other times it keeps freezing or crashing. Makes it very difficult to make notes on documents as it doesn’t save any notes when it crashes and everything needs to be redone. Please resolve this issue or suggest an alternative method for making notes on documents and pictures.

Dropbox is best and most reliable. Dropbox is by far extremely user friendly even for old people (I am going for 60years of age)

Very difficult to cancel the subscription. Your instructions are not very clear to cancel, as you do not mention which settings you have to tap. The iPhone settings or the Dropbox settings. Either way they do not allow me to cancel the subscription and when sending a mail to cancel, no response or confirmation of cancellation is sent. Please let me know if my subscription has been cancellation or not. I wanted the free app not a subscription or free trail.

Hate disappearing reader view
Love the service, detest the new auto close of content once the app loses focus. I prep something, in a meeting I open the document, the app loses focus and the document is gone. I need to navigate back to offline files to open it. It is a new change and it is a pain!

Can’t view your files in app if device isn’t one of your three devices, making app useless. App doesn’t do any physical syncing of data, only viewing, you can do the same from device web browser. Completely illogical.

App uses cellular data for no reason
Even though my photo uploads are set to do not use mobile data. The app keeps using high volumes of cellular data in the background. Really needs a fix.

Frustration with MS Office Integration
I’m using Dropbox with MS Office, notably Word & Excel, and having problems with auto save. There appears to be a problem with Microsoft Office Integration, as it keeps saying it can’t upload and I need to save a copy of the file... which I do, and the problem persists with the new file. Good app, bad bugs
Such a cool and useful app, but so many bugs. Works well for a few weeks, then BAM. Useless app. Won’t upload. Won’t log out. Won’t delete files/folders. Won’t load images.
Also, how do I change my email address? I entered it incorrectly the first time and can’t change it without confirmation email sent to logged email? So many issues! Y no worky?

Buggy Text Editor
The addition of the text editor functionality is awesome, but the implementation is seriously buggy. Sometimes the cursor just won't go where I want it to and I'm also unable to scroll down when editing on the iPhone app. Please fix!

New version problems?
Dropbox have been working perfectly up and to the latest version. I use Dropbox via Iphone6s and for some or other reason the following keeps on occurring:
App crashes all the time.
All files marked as "view offline" must suddenly be loaded again.
Files takes forever to be made available once uploaded.
While within files, busy browsing, the app freezes and stops working.
Phone over-heat while in Dropbox.
Should I uninstall and reinstall again? Just scared that I might loose data.
I have been using Dropbox for years now and have always been more than impressed with the functionality and effectiveness of the app.

I love Dropbox. I prioritise using it over any other cloud storage. Just one thing I would like to suggest though. I would like to see 2 pdfs on this ipad device at once. If you can have a split screen option for viewing of 2 pdfs at once, that would be awesome!

Unsatisfactory
Since inception Dropbox is unable to do background downloading on iOS devices. It says it requires location enabling in order up download in background. You enable location. But the app still can't download on background: it stops as soon as you leave the app to attend to other things.

So what happened?
Something seriously went wrong after my latest upgrade which is version 3.1. The app keeps crashing when photos are downloaded and viewed on dropbox. Version 3.1 severely sabotaged a truly remarkable app. I can only wish that the next upgrade corrects the instability brought about by version 3.1 soon... My life revolves around dropbox – I can only wish that version 3.1 will be sorted out soon. Thank you in anticipation! Daniel

A great addition to dropbox family
I've been using Dropbox for a while to seamlessly sync and version files on Linux, MacOSX, and Windows. This brings it to the iPhone! Brilliant app which works as I expected. Good 1.0 release.
