I censor things for a reason
This might seem like a odd review but i haven’t heard anything regarding this; promoting content i censored. I used settings to manipulate my feed by using the word block or whatever setting bur instead i see what i was avoiding often. Mind you i didn’t see it before i censored those words. I double checked to make sure i wasn’t using the words as content i wish to see. Eeeyuck. My biggest fear is constantly shown to me and it’s irritating. Especially on the suggested reel aisle. Do fix this.

This isn’t Instagram anymore. Instagram is dead.
The last feature of the original Instagram was hashtags. Now they have forced you to only be able to use 5. After like 20 years.
This app is now a generic ripoff of TikTok with zero regard for respect or mental health. This app is designed to be as addictive, as attention seeking, as intrusive, as confrontational, as RACIST and as provocative as possible.
Bad, low effort, blatant copying and AI SLOP is the only thing that gets recommended and gets views.

Permanently disabled
This is unbelievable. My account of three years has been permanently disabled due to an error in identification. I have appealed and complained countless of times to prove that I am above the restricted age and yet I still do not have access to my account. It is unpleasant for instagram to implement an AI system just for it not to work accordingly.

i love instagram but it has truly annoyed me today.
i opened instagram and i saw that it was bugging,so i tried to reset many times,and it didnt work.
i ended up deleting it and re installing it just for it to not work AT ALL.

Not Happy At All
Dear Instagram,
I have spent years building my account and personal brand, only to have my page disabled without what feels like a proper review of my identity and content.
My account, “MALAWIL THOTIANA,” has been my brand name since 2017 across multiple platforms. While the name on my identification documents may differ from my online brand name, that does not make me a fake person or a fake account.
Through this page, I have worked with legitimate brands and built a community that has supported me for years. Losing access to my account has affected not only my online presence but also ongoing brand partnerships and opportunities.
I respectfully ask Instagram to conduct a thorough review of my account and identity before permanently deleting years of hard work and content. Real creators deserve a fair chance to verify who they are and appeal decisions that may have been made in error.

The abhorrent moderation system of meta
My account was disabled for allegedly violating Instagram’s Integrity Guidelines, yet I was given little to no meaningful explanation and no clear way to speak to an actual human being. It is incredibly frustrating to have years of memories, messages, and connections taken away by what appears to be an automated system.
The reliance on AI and automated moderation has clearly gone too far. When a decision as serious as permanently disabling someone’s account is made, there should be a genuine human review process available. Instead, users are often left dealing with automated responses and endless help pages that do not address their situation.
What makes this even worse is the lack of customer support. For a platform with billions of users, it is unacceptable that there is virtually no direct support available for people who believe their accounts were disabled incorrectly. Users deserve transparency, explanations, and access to real people who can review cases fairly.
Instagram needs to stop treating users like numbers in a database and start investing in proper human support. Until then, many innocent users will continue to lose access to their accounts with no real opportunity to defend themselves.
A truly terrible experience.

Repost button
I really enjoy Instagram and the content and everything about it, I previously had access to the repost button, but it has suddenly disappeared. Although I can still see content I’ve reposted in the past, I no longer have the option to repost new posts.
I have already tried troubleshooting by updating the app, logging out and back in, and even deleting and reinstalling the app, but the feature has not returned. This makes me think the issue may be related to my account rather than my device.
I really enjoyed using the repost feature and found it useful for sharing content, so it’s frustrating that it has been removed without any explanation. I would appreciate it if you could look into this and let me know if there’s a way to restore the feature or if this is a temporary change.

Used to be my favourite app
Recently i deactivated my account. Now usually when I activate it again, it doesn't work through the app so I would just go to the web, reactivate it there then go back to the app and log in, but now, I can't. I did the reactivation process of it but when I tried to log in on my account through the app, it didn't allow me to. I've been trying for 4 days and it still isn't working. I've done n everything. Instagram limits your accounts from doing things too often to protect the community, I understand that completely and the investigation of your account usually takes 24-48 hours for me it's been more than that I haven't been able to follow anyone for over 2 days imagine how many followers l'm losing because of a technical issue I can't control and It's actually crazy how many people I found who have had the same issue in the past, is this what Instagram is good for? Instagram Posting Quality issues
I love this app neh but oh my gosh does it grind my teeth every year. Firstly I’d like to address the current issue I’ve noticed, I haven’t been one to post much on my actual feed that stay on my grid but I’ve been doing it a lot more often now since 2022 and I’ve noticed Instagram change the colour grading of my posts and everyone else’s actually. Posting a completely different more often than not “ugly and dull” version of the actual picture even though my settings are setup to post the highest quality photos. Something as big as Meta should be able tot keep up with the digital needs imposed by continuously updated phone technology if it so happens that it’s a way to compress images. STOP IT. FIX IT. Because it becomes so demotivating spending your time curating certain things and when you post it’s completely trashed. And that thing where drafts from your reels just disappear regardless of how much space I have on my phone (especially because I always have it) needs to be FIXED as well because again you might spend so much time editing a reel that you either plan to post at a certain time or it still needs a little touching up and you go back and it’s completely gone but other Reel drafts are still there it’s extremely frustrating and demotivating, PLEASE FIX IT and stop adding unnecessary features like I don’t remember anyone asking for a reshare button like our stories don’t work. Supply and demand okes, let’s please NOT prioritise monetary value over customer satisfaction.

Instagram is really great. But I have noticed that my stories after a certain time started getting blurry. And I can't fix it.
Another thing I heard a lot of people complain about is after you post a story you can't edit again . Like I can't remove someone that I mentioned in that story.

Missing multiple features
I have the latest version of Instagram the same as many people I know. I have double checked multiple times. I also have the latest iOS on an iPhone 15 Pro. Yet I am missing multiple features compared to others. I can’t see my view count on my profile page, I used to be able to. It took like 5 months for me to get the latest fonts and features for stories. I can still only post 10 pictures on a carousel whereas everyone else can post 20. It’s been 7 months since that feature was released and yet I still can’t. Don’t tell me it’s region based when I’m sitting next to my girlfriend with all these features unlocked on an iPhone 12. I have reported this multiple times. Never once got a response. And nothing has changed. Honestly what terrible customer service. How can it take over half a year to release something to other users? Why are some of us being excluded from such features? I have never once in my life received a ban or warning or broken Instagram ToS? I’m sure I still won’t receive any response after posting this. please add a ‘select all’ option for removing liked posts, or add an option that lets users hide their liked posts from their followers and friends, i feel that the need for followers being able to see ur every single liked post is an invasion of privacy, or rather, i don’t see why there is no option to hide my liked posts from my followers, please consider this, or just add a select all option, i know many people who do not like the fact there is not an option for this or something similar, or even a setting that lets you select who (followers/no one/everyone/followers and following/ mutual follows) can view liked posts by you.

Ruined feed
I've loved instagram up to this point.... but now I've reached my limit. In the past year Instagram has been adding unnecessary features nobody asked for and removing well-loved things. My final straw is the latest update where the feed formatting is changed?!?? What the hell???!! I've curated and built my entire feed to the square format and framing my pictures to ensure it looks good on my feed but now it is changed and it looks horrible. 4 years of hard work curating wasted. Some important things are even cropped out. I can just imagine how many other users' well-curated feeds were destroyed by this update for no good reason. (With no option to change it back ... one would think it should be a choice whether or not your feed is changed or it stays in square. I am so angry and fed up I don't even know what to say anymore. Change it back to square. Please. And take away the stupid "notes" feature.

Stop changing unnecessary stuff
For some reason instagram thinks we need some weird type of updates that change how our feeds like ENTIRELY after we’ve spent years making our feeds look aesthetic based off of the layout, please don’t make the highlights go into another tab on our instagram profile, please make our pictures back into squares instead of rectangles because I’ve just gotten cropped out of my own photo on my own instagram

I wish the could be a way to follow a topic or a tread created. I saw “best philosophy class part 2” but when I went back to Instagram the video was gone but also when I was at the video I noticed it was reposted cause I couldn't find the first part of the video. The is a lot of that happening now that you see a video and insta refreshes on its own or people posting videos in parts and the repost ends up being lost. I wish every repost could always be attached to a original and of very sound used cause be attached to original video when traced back. It needs to be forced somehow for the originals to be attached even to a edited picture even by link.

I really, really, really love your app but I only have one negative comment on your app. That is the protection of peoples accounts like mine for example somebody hacked into my account yesterday and the whole time I was trying to get back in and nothing worked!
I was then told by friends that some girl had already changed all my details on my account and deleted all my posts, highlights .etc. I am really not happy with this because it puts me in a situation where I have to now create a whole new account😐
And mind you this person deleted my account after I realised that she had hacked my account so there is no way to access this account anymore although I do have a screenshot of what was the name of the account and the persons face but I don’t think you can really do anything with that🤷🏽♀️
I just wanted to let you guys know that our accounts are not protected enough on your app. People can steal personal information from our accounts and use it for something else so I suggest you guys put some sort of restriction or something because I was not pleased at all with what just happened.

Inappropriate videos
Before this new update, Instagram was perfectly fine, everything was working properly. Once they’ve done the update, people have been receiving videos of women breastfeeding their children, or showing their breasts and other inappropriate stuff. Kids use this app and it’s wrong for them to see these things. I don’t know what’s going on with instagram, but I do not condone this. I’ve been reporting these videos and accounts that pop up but more still come back. I’ve selected the “less” button for how much I want to receive sensitive content on the settings long ago, but I guess it’s not working. I don’t even want to receive sensitive content. Please fix your app instagram, I don’t know what y’all have done with this is very wrong. I don’t even want to give this app a rating.

Destroys small businesses
I am really so disappointed in myself for bolding my main client base and forum on Instagram for people like myself who’s not very tech we post our work in the hopes that the new clients would see and then come and support us which has been happening for the past three years over the course of the weekend some of my post were flagged apparently since the 3rd of July I attempted to rectify the situation by deleting it because I did not know because my post does not qualified as nudity at all but since it was reported I waited for the feedback after applying for appeal it’s been since Saturday my ads are costing me a fortune with zero recommendation and a band on Facebook and Instagram but when I contact them they said it’s not banned it’s not recommended and the reason for not recommending violations. The first customer service agent I spoke to laughed at me while I spoke to on Sunday since then my emails have been replied to by eight different consultants all sending me the same generic email instead of assisting me so I give up they win because I’m still paying full price for ads and getting 170 people prior to this I got anyway between 1300 to 2000 I feel a little bit defeated today because affect my business as a single mom at this point I don’t want any person who is not tech savvy to make them the same mistake I did

Significant decline
Of late Instagram has significantly declined in its functionality as a social media platform. For one algorithmic bias seems to be at an all time high, only pushing certain content and topic and either shadow banning or restricting the reach of any content that they do not personally align with. If that isn’t bad enough, the appeals process is absolutely pointless and half the time isn’t even available.
Another weird thing I’ve noticed is that activity and commenting is inconsistently restricted and limited at times for no clear reason and with no way to appeal (comments are severely restricted even when not violating any policy - no spam in sharing posts, no spamming in comments, no bullying or harassment, no hate speach but “instagram limits certain activities…think we made a mistake?” But the button to report this as a mistake doesn’t work). For example: this morning I entered a competition from a local account for a local tv show who have multiple festive completions currents running daily. This is common particularly during holiday periods and something I have done frequently over the years. I enter 2 competitions, each requiring 1 comment stating what you love about the sponsored product however I cannot comment because I get said error message.

music errors
For over 2 weeks now the music feature for stories has not been working. Songs are “currently unavailable” when I view other people’s stories, and when I search for music for my own story there are no results for anything I search for aside from the recommendations page. Notifications are not regular: there are multiple accounts that I have alerts on for and I only occasionally receive notifications for story updates, almost never for new posts despite alerts being on and these pages being added to my favourites. I update the app regularly, but this has been going on for months now. I have also logged several reports and online forums have shown that this is not an isolated issue.

Crashing and random redirection
At first the app was running smoothly and I had never encountered any issues until I swiped to the last slide of a carousel advertisement post by shein…the app would randomly redirect me to the App Store to download the Shein app. A few minutes ago I tried scheduling a post, it literally gave me that option until I decided to edit some parts of the post and connect it to my Facebook page to later come back and find that it no longer allows me to schedule a post. So I tried force closing the app, I restarted my device, I updated the app, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still it is not allowing me to schedule the post and worse, it is refusing to open now. It shuts down every single time I try to run it. Completely irritated with the experience!!!

I just find it extremely concerning how one person can have the power to destroy another individual’s entire livelihood… my entire business / income was dependent on that page and it was all taken away from me in the blink of an eye.
I would really appreciate it if someone from the Instagram team could assist me with this matter as it was a genuine mistake from my end and I feel the matter was truly blown out of proportion…

Requested Updates
The thinking icon in chats is a great addition to refresh instagram , it’s cool to explore my followers music and to share my music as well, however it would be a better feature if users can see who viewed or played there music. Instagram should include slideshow picture posts with music like tiktok. Promote content of smaller businesses so that growth can be easier. Instagram needs to fix the algorithm and make it not as strict. A lot of smaller accounts do not enjoy Instagram because they do not see any engagement on there posts or likes and this is what makes instagram not as fun as what it used to be. More engagement and promotion will generate new users. Lastly.. bring back delete message option, the most useless and unnecessary update more like a downgrade.

I love instagram. Never had a problem with it until recently. First of all, work on helping people recover their instagram accounts after it’s been hacked, I’m sure you can see that it had a different owner before it suddenly changed. And second of all, I love some of the new updates but I’d love it even more if you let it be on all accounts and not just one account because I have 3 accounts. And please bring back the continue scrolling feature if you suggest reels, this is like the second time you take it away, when I watch the one and I scroll I want to see the next one not click the back button and then have to click the second suggested one. Page recognition
Instagram needs to change its focus market. It’s all about celebrities and nonsense when there are REAL businesses on here trying to make a living. My instagram profile has 3000k followers yet I only get 100 views on my AWESOME content, that is not even 1% of my followers!! I DONT want more followers, I just want my current followers (hard earned and so much spent on advertisement) to see my stuff. Instagram has become a money making platform. Not a platform that supports its users!! The system is overwhelmed and continuously glitches where video or sound don’t play , or they are not synchronised. Maybe a server upgrade is needed or reduced quality to a manageable processing level. Instagram is focused on Gen Z content (leave that to TikTok) and it’s shadowing the original millennial users to were the first to use the platform. Also there are other countries who are trying to get their content out there. Not only Americans. Why is there a weight in their favour? Why do smaller countries not grow within themselves. It’s all about America. Allow us to show content to our own countries. It’s on a slow rollercoaster downward. So sad because I actually love the platform.

What is going on
Generally I really like instagram but I removed the app from my phone a few days ago then today I went to download and relogin. When I logged in it popped up with a message saying my account has been disabled when to the best of my knowledge I haven’t violated any guidelines or anything. I then go through the steps to disagree with the decision and the last page is just a blank loading page that doesn’t ever load to anything? So now I don’t know if the request is going to go through or if I’m losing my account. Then try to find more information on your help site since now I can’t do anything in the app but it just tells me to go back to the app and follow the steps. Is there a way to actually speak to a human to sort this out? I am going to be severely enraged if I’ve lost my account because of this

The app is being ruined by all the updates that keep happening
I am complaining about how instagram is being changed into a prominently video orientated app, and how it is ruining it. I did not update my app purely because of the new update which causes the home page to become almost reel like, where you see barely any of your actual followings posts.
You are going to lose customers by doing this because instagram used to have an equal balance of photos and videos and was mostly used by photos, even by marketing companies.
Instagram used to be unique but now it’s become so similar to tiktok, but worse because of how hard it is to function on it.
You should consider changing it to how it was before the update because of how frustrated people are getting.

Hacked Account Still Hacked 3months later…
Please can someone seriously sort out retrievals of hacked personal accounts!!!!!! My account was hacked in Dec 2021 and after numerous attempts to retrieve it, and reporting this to you multiple times, I am still sitting here with my account (which I rely on heavily for work) in some bot or human hackers hands. This hacker changed my email address associated with my account which has made the retrieval process impossible for your “system” to handle - please fix/simply/provide HUMAN support for this!!! Your phone number, email address and hELp CeNtER are all useless, outdated and unhelpful. To date, this hacker continues to harass my friends, colleagues and followers through my account in an attempt to scam them. Due to this, I feel my reputation as a professional has been severely affected. I can’t even get help from you guys to delete my account!!! This is so bad, I wanna give you a 0. But that’s not possible so I give you a 1!

Help centre malfunction
I’ve been in a form of account purgatory for the past 4 weeks. Even though I can log into my account I still get the same notification of verification because my account was “compromised” and my verifications keep sending broken links that just send me back into my account for broken verification. I’ve been restricted from everything and I know I haven’t been hacked because my credentials haven’t changed.
I’ve submitted a multitude of appeals for my account and nothing. I thought I’d only be suspended / banned for 24 hours to a week but it’s been a month and there’s no sign of hope at this point. I’m not about to start up a new profile without being able to disable my current one. People can still view and like my posts but I just don’t have access.
I don’t know what else I have to do besides submit more appeal forms because this help centre is a load of garbage when it comes to reinstating a users account for false fraudulent behaviour.
I haven’t been able to access my account for 4 weeks, so I haven’t been able to talk to any friends or family from the app and it’s not like my account is disabled because other people can still see it and find it.
Help? Actually do your job?

Can’t share posts to my story’s anymore
For a while now I haven’t been able to share funny or interesting posts of others to my story. I used to do this and enjoyed it. There was a time when it took me to my emoji section with a create tab and I could still do it, then that disappeared as well and I thought insta had taken away this functionality! But I see other people doing it and I still can’t. I researched others are having this problem as well. Some said delete the app and restore. I did still didn’t work. Went to settings / privacy / stories - turned my sharing stories settings on and off, still didn’t work. Your help Centre has nothing on this please help me. I love the app but this makes it incredibly boring and pretty useless to me! If it’s fixed will def change my rating! But whatever you have done to the app, is not working for me! Thanks

Preparing videos for posting
I really love IG. And I’d never to give a review until now to express how I really feel about it. I’ve never been a content creator but sharing my pictures with the world and sharing my life was pretty enticing to not be on such a platform and from its inception everything has been great. Well everything might be a bit exaggerated. Because for the longest time Instagram has had the worst pet peeve of all social media apps: and that’s the video editing as you prepare to upload/post your content. For instance the stories posting function is the worst to use. You can’t seem to pin point exactly where you want to trim. And this is time consuming for someone if they have to figure it out for hours or spend time editing in the native video editor. Granted it gets the job done. But if we’re being honest, efficiency is the currency of all digital consumption. And not being able to edit exclusively in the stories panel (amongst others) is not efficient in any way. And it’s annoying.

I’m learning to appreciate the app as a musician would an instrument. For creators, its unparalleled in terms of functional design. Not only that, there’s an opportunity to market, network, monetise content. Business owners be warned, you’re losing sales because you aren’t on Instagram. Facebook likes have less value than an equivalent interaction in Instagram. It’s not too late to jump on board! Forget the website, create an Instagram profile first. It’s continuously improved with advanced social analytics directly influencing the way in which a social network organically grows and integrates into reality. It’s less clunky than Snapchat while offering similar messaging functionality to WhatsApp. If you have to use one-app, Instagram should be your first choice. Congratulations if you’re reading this review, it means you’re about to create something and release it into the social stream, hopefully it’s something positive and gentle.

Cannot log into my account
It has now been three days since I can log into my Instagram account. The account email address and phone number are no longer in use. The email address at which my verification link is going too was created by INSTAGRAM themselves so I don’t know this email address. The phone number is a very old number of mine which is no longer part of a registered network. I have no exhausted my energy trying to freaken get a simple response from your team. I have submitted countless biometric videos to prove I’m a “human-being” surely you should reach out to your community to help us in some sort of way? I have had this account for almost 5 years and it’s grown my business entity tremendously, now I have to lose this account completely!? Is this a joke? Please please reach out to us!

More Posts LESS Ads
I do enjoy IG, the only thing I would love to see happen is: with the ads that come up, when someone taps on it’s irrelevant, that one doesn’t get to see ads from that company again, not just that ad. On their IG page. I know that all businesses have taken a knock with covid, but I would love to see one social media page with no ads, and when I say no ads, I mean no ads for car/motorcycle companies, estate agent companies, restaurants and so on. I don’t mind ads for beautiful accommodation, and ads from people who have a business and they are on IG, but don’t flood IG on a weekly/daily basis with ads, and we needed more positive stories and stories that make people wake up to what we are doing to the world on IG. More happy less negativity 😃

What used to be a fun, easy app to use has become very niche. If I had not been an Instagram user for years, I would not know how to use it and give up like I did with Facebook. The Instagram company is trying to incorporate businesses more so that they can profit in future by giving the person who pays most the top slot on what used to be the activity page. This is a psychological game because that page is associated with the joy when you get a like or a new follower and now when you instinctively tap it hoping to see someone comment on a picture you have posted, you see something to buy instead. You buy it hoping for the same happiness but instead you have less money and Instagram has more. The only advantage this page will have is to promote small business but they will get pushed to the side if the highest bidder gets the top spot. And not to mention the ads and the hidden posting icon. IT’S A PHOTO SHARING APP. Please change it back and monitor how many ads each user can see otherwise you will drive away your current users. I genuinely love the app but I don’t think it deserves better with how it’s going.

Re-arrangement of the layout.
Instagram is Instagram. Overall a very normal social media app which I (like many others) have been using for years. Most recently, the update of replacing the “activity” section with the “shop” section feels unnecessary, especially for a platform where sharing pictures of your daily life is the most common.
E-commerce is a large feature of Instagram and many small businesses operate primarily on Instagram, however, I felt the need to comment on this layout. Facebook, Instagram’s parent company is beyond wealthy and there is no need to attempt to shove more e-commerce and spending down the throats of unsuspecting Instagram users.
Overall, however, it’s great. Default ads aren’t too prevalent and are integrated into the feed well. Generally user friendly and easy to navigate.

Instagram is no fun anymore
I used to really love Instagram. It was a fun app to post photos and see your friends and family photos. However, it is no longer about user experience. First they brought in the terrible algorithm which actually causes you to miss out on a lot of posts as your feed is no longer chronological. Then stories were added (a shameless rip off of Snapchat). And now reels (another shameless rip off, this time it’s Tik Tok). And they’ve replaced the notification button with a shopping button. No one uses Instagram for shopping! If you now search a hashtag, it is divided into popular and recent. I almost missed the recent tab which means if you don’t have a lot of followers that already like your photos your post will not show up in the popular tab. So a lot of people will miss your post with the hashtag used. I could deal with ads on my timeline but the rest of the updates have killed the charm the app once had. Instagram is obviously all about maximizing profit before user enjoyment. This is really shameless given that this is a company estimated to be worth more than $100 billion already. Bye Instagram.

Account blocked
I’m constantly writting emails to Instagram , my account was temporarily blocked for according to the error message sharing my losing with a service that helps gain followers , imagine my shock when I got that error message however when I check on the help I have not shared any login details with third parties it’s the 16th today and I’m still getting the same error message that says my account is temporarily blocked and the action will expire on the 15th . I’ve invested so much into that account , I pay for ads etc and yet no response from Instagram 😭 I’m at my wits end as it’s my business acc. INTAGRAM your response rate to such issues is horrible, this time you are the bully. According to your data I have not shared my info with third parties yet I still get the same error message even when that temp block is supposed to be expired

What’s up with all the suggested posts. I didn’t follow them and I don’t understand why my home page should be filled with videos from people or pages that I ain’t even planning on following. Especially if I’d never liked anything from them in the first place.

Ignoring of Reports of Slitz
I understand that you are prioritizing reports based on the corona virus, but are seriously ignoring millions and millions of reports over the same thing?? Millions of people are reporting these “Slitz” and you’re doing nothing about it. I don’t think you actually understand what these people are doing because they’re a dangerous organization who are doing violent things. They’re hiding gore in their FanCams and they call themselves Slitz. They send videos of people getting tortured and raped and they think it’s funny. They post videos that look normal and then it changes to children hanging or people shooting themselves to women getting tortured sexually like getting their private parts cut out. It scaring people and it’s creating trauma, especially for people with vasovagal syncope who faint easily at the sight of blood. Everyone is reporting them and absolutely nothing has been done about it, it’s been happening for months.

What used to be fun is now frustrating.
I have been a long-term user of instagram, it used to be a great app that I enjoyed for its photo-sharing abilities and messaging facilities. What has detracted from its past ease of use and enjoyability is the annoying and irrelevant adverts that are almost always spam or a scam. At this point I’d pay for the app just to stop seeing them. The platform is full of spam and bots, which incessantly tag you in photos, try to follow you or send you and other users messages that are inappropriate or pure nonsense. Instagram makes no effort to address the huge number of fake accounts and the constant stream of spam that harasses its users. It also has made minimal effort to address the fact that influencers do not honestly indicate what is or isn’t a sponsored post, not mention the number of misleading products sold and advertised by these means. The stories function was a great addition until every 3rd story from someone you actually follow became an advert that was spam or scam — I see adverts for wigs from a dubious sources about 15 times a day and I am not interested in buying a wig nor a pet bed that I’ve seen 500 times under a different name. Extremely frustrated and over this app, what is the point?

Add to your story button. “Missing”
I love this app. I love using the ig effects, posting, liking the pics and videos, following and getting followers. I’ve been on this app since 2016 and it didn’t disappoint me. Well, until now. My only problem with the app is that I can’t re-share other peoples videos or posts on my story anymore. My add to your story button has gone missing. I legit have to take a screenshot and then look for the accounts name. I’m honestly getting tired of it. There’s must be something done. Hope u guys get and read my review and fix the problem

“Add post to your story” feature
I am honestly quite frustrated because I do now have the “add post to your story” feature on Instagram, I can’t even share my own posts to my stories. Instagram has for whatever reason turned off that feature for me. I have only had access to this feature once for about 2 days and then it left again. My Instagram app is always up to date and I have ‘uninstalled’ and ‘reinstalled’ the app countless times but to no avail. Please please may you assist me with this issue. It’s extremely frustrating and there is absolutely no reason for it. It also can’t be my phone because I’m using a new one now and still experiencing this same issue even when I log into Instagram on another person’s phone I still cannot access this feature even though the owner of the phone can access it on her own account, so it’s a problem with my account.

Bad experiences lately and no help whatsoever
I am recently having a horrible experience with the app I keep trying to play the music feature I used to have on the app over my boomerangs and images and videos the ones with the lyrics it has completely disappeared off my app whether I swipe up to bring the gifs and other options up, or if I press the logo in the top right hand of the screen used to bring up the polls , gifs , smileys and images and music you can add to your posts and it won’t allow me now for some odd reason and about two weeks ago I could do it another issue I’m experiencing is, as of yesterday I can’t send messages to people or friends I know without them starting a conversation first it brings up an error saying can’t create the thread and asks for me to report it, I report it and no one gets back to me I even tried emailing them after deleting the app and even trying to redownload it I even updated my iPhones software two days back and nothing happens still I am struggling to do what I need to and I’m an artist I use the app for networking and work It’s frustrating for me

Notifications
It’s been 6 months now I don’t receive notifications when outside the Instagram App... I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️ what going on because all notifications are turned on & I’m running the latest version of iOS with a latest updated instagram App. Earlier this year I thought maybe my phone is too old so I decided to buy a latest version of Apple iPhone and move my account to it but still no notifications when I’m outside the App. To clarify I don’t sign out from the App I just exit when I’m done using it. I don’t remove my details which means it suppose to notify me when I’m not on it about all activities which are taking place on my account content.

I absolutely think that Instagram is a great app the new GIFS are amazing but i think that things should take a shorter time to download when using stickers or GIFS. Instagram should be able to use for any one over the age of 10 because this is such a well made app and i see there has been a lot of thought gone into it. This is a good app to use. To express any emotions on pictures where you can post what you like and know one can tell you i its not a good pic or not. This app is wonderful i think people are lucky to have this because it is so well made and done i truly think this is a good app

Customer Service
I have invested a lot in my Instagram account and i trusted the app for keeping my memories safe. A month ago my account was disabled and I appealed as this was a mistake. I have been sending almost 10 pictures to verify my ID. Was told my issue was resolved. But up until now i am still unable to log into my account. I need my pictures and communication. Instagram helps me cope as it is full of positive people i can communicate with. Now they do not answer my emails. I have requested help with another email address but i keep getting generic messages regardless of me having gone prior the process of appeal and being told my issue has been resolved. Very disappointed on how I’ve been handled. Very ineffective customer service.

Slow to update to latest versions
My instagram never updates to the latest versions at the same time as everyone else. This is my only app that does this even though I’ve set all my apps to auto-update on the WiFi. No matter how many times I delete the app, re-download it and reboot my iphone, I STILL don’t have some of the upgraded features. It took me 5 months to get the new fonts when everyone else had them. I had to DM Instagram before they fixed it months later. I still don’t have the ability to upload pics from my camera roll, only items from the last 24 hours. I guess I’ll try again in December.

Folders of photos and cropping
I love Instagram and I use it regularly as a form of self-expression. However, there is one small aspect that frustrates me. When I am posting multiple images at once they all get automatically cropped to the same sized as the first photo in the series. This means that I cannot post horizontal and vertical pictures in the same series or the images get cut off. This is further exacerbated by the fact that when I try to edit the images in the series individually they zoom in even further and I can not zoom out to show a little more of the picture.
