poor support for older operating systems
there's no real reason why the CSS formatting can't be responsive for older screen resolutions or the web pages be accessed via tablet browsers.
lazy programming
snarky developer responses;
other weather/sailing apps with as complex graphics work fine : navionics, Yr, windfinder, tides planner, iregatta, b&g link, shipfinder, pocketgrib etc
and now (nov 2019) the poor interface just got worse!!! more clutter, fewer options.

Predict Wind
This is one of the greatest weather apps I have used. I farm too and the graphic forecast accuracy is one we rely on. It is very accurate

Only issue is that sometimes forecast data doesn't update, otherwise very good
