Terrible books app

At first I could not navigate between the different pages of my textbook, it was stuck on one page, next moment my textbook disappears. Not the type of thing you want to experience in the middle of studying for your exams.

Blank books after update

Response received but a week later I am still unable to read my books! Pathetic…..Please note that there is currently an issue raised regarding books appearing in the library but display no content (blank pages) when opened. This issue is specific to the iPad 10 following a system update on Thursday evening.

I hate this App with everything in me.

I tried redeeming a voucher on my already opened App on my Mac, however after sometime of the book not appearing “WHERE I REDEEMED IT”, I decided to check my old App on the phone and it downloaded there. Why can’t I link these accounts since they are the same email?

Extremely disappointed

Love the app, just wish there were more highlighter colour options as most of them make the text difficult to read. Perhaps there could be a colour spectrum with customisable opacity? I know that I, and many other people, colour code subjects and notes within each subject to stay organised. It has also been proven to be highly effective in retaining information since you associate the colour with that subject and its notes. Otherwise, lovely app. I appreciete the fact that the app automatically bookmarks when you exit a textbook. {edit} After using the app for a couple more days, I have noticed that notes do not save once I leave the book. This is just plain stupid. What’s the point of making notes in class if I will not be able to refer back to said notes when studying? Please fix this problem ASAP or make the book useable in other ePub file reader apps. This app is useless to people who stay organised with studies.

Snapplify & communication

Snapplify is a fast, engaging app that allows you to download textbooks to use offline at school, etc.

This year I constantly changed my devices that I use textbooks for but I now have a long term device. I reached the device limit set by the publisher of how many devices can have my license. I reached out to Snapplify and they responded so quickly (10 hours to 24 hours). They got my device, my textbook license and I now have access to them. I recommend this app to everyone who uses digital textbooks. just love the customer service and how they help out so much and how they are so fast to reach out to you this is the perfect reading app.

This has to be one of the most terrible books app ever, it doesn’t allow one to erase free hand writing. As soon as you select clear it clears all the writing.

Undo or erase could have fixed this.

App doesn’t allow you to highlight an entire paragraph, you can only select two lines.

Suddenly can’t open any of my books

This morning I can’t open my pdf or epub books on Snaplify. First got the error “content corrupted, please download again” but no way to re-download. So I updated the app, logged in again and now I get the error for both epub and pdf books that the “format is not supported yet please check back soon”. Wtf?!

When changing devices we experienced difficulties in opening the textbooks we ordered. I contacted customer services by email. Unfortunately because I’m on my email all the time we were missing each other in real time. Excellent service

I have had two issues with our purchases using the app but both times were promptly addressed. The response time was excellent on both instances. My daughter used the app at school for her e-books and has no issues.

Good start but a lot of issues

I have some major challenges using this app on my iPad and MacBook. On my iPad the app jumps to the top of the chapter wverytime my screen changes orientation. Highlighting text on ipad with finger or apple pencil doesn’t work. Drawn lines dissapear once the widget closes. The Table of contents sometimes doesn’t work as it navigates me nowhere. Moving to the next chapter is hit and miss. The app has also crashed a few times. Please get these issues on your backlog as I use this app for textbooks. Thanks.

Behind the curve

Downloading an e-book app that doesn’t have the features that are expected like converting the text into audio like other e-book apps makes academic work a lot harder. User friendliness of the app is also questionable, the Apple sign on doesn’t work on iOS but works on macOS, the macOS app is designed with a Windows format so trying to find the close or minimise icons were challenging initially. Read aloud works on macOS but requires you to highlight the text to read aloud….

Snapplify is actually a great e-book reader

A friend of mine from my old school suggested I use this reader for uni work since Snapplify’s main marketplace focuses on a wide variety of material.

At first I was hesitant since it seemed something new I wasn’t familiar with, but then I tried a couple of their free e-books and I was surprised how many features they had available to enhance the user experience.

I just wish I had access to this when I was still in high school😂 Other than that this is a really great app. Looking forward to seeing how Snapplify develops further.

I’m a teacher and use Snapplify for all my text books. I’ve had to reinstall the app a few times…replaced my iPad, laptop, etc. Whenever I’ve had any issues downloading my books, I would receive excellent service to get me reading my books almost immediately.

Snapplify is moving backwards

It’s a pity I can’t choose which app I want to use to read my ebooks as I would not have chosen this provider.

I severely dislike the continuous scroll in chapters. Not only because of the scrolling but if you by accident tap on the wrong place on the screen you move forward or backward an entire chapter. Finding you place is a big search as it doesn’t retain your place but jumps back to the beginning of the chapter you were reading. I’d prefer having the option to choose between paging or scrolling.

Further more at the moment I have more titles in my collection that gives me error messages when I try to open it than titles I can actually read. This should not happen and is extremely annoying.

I also want to organise my collection in more ways than just by title. Perhaps I prefer to organise it by author, or fist or last purchased - but I’m not giving that option. I also don’t have the option to have the book I’m currently reading at the top of my list. So if you have a big collection it is a constant search to find the title you are reading.

If I don’t have an internet connection I can’t read my books. For that matter I can then just as well read a paper book. Surely after I downloaded the items it should be available offline as well.

Snapplify is not making it easy or an enjoyable experience.

Amazing customer service!

I had problems with adding an ebook to the Snapplify library and contacted them on their site, I immediately got a response and one of the representatives named Mary helped me within 2 minutes to solve the problem. I’m super impressed on how kind, quick and efficient she was with helping me especially since it was a Saturday evening. The app works well, would definitely recommend it!

Okay app

Its an okay app but I much prefer vital source. The fact that I cannot choose a single page view or continuous scroll is definitely an inconvenience. Not being able to save the hand drawn annotations my books are a problem as well. And not being able to make flash cards is a let down. The app is really basic and needs work. Also it jumps a lot.

Amazing reader and great for students

The Snapplify reader is an amazing app to use for anything you may need an e-reader for. Their library has an unbelievable amount of books to look through (especially books that students may like to make use of)

Ad a student myself, i would easily recommend this reader to people who like to read on the go, study or multitask reading with a form of work.

Problem with textbook resolved really quickly

I was having a problem with one of my test books where I couldn’t open it so I send a email to Snapplify support expecting to get a reply a few days later. To my surprise i had gotten a email back and the issue sorted writhing 3 hrs of sending the email!!

Unable to access books

To begin with after almost every 3rd or 4th time after opening the textbook I have to re download, sometimes my books take time to pop up and now as I try to study for my EXAMS my 1 textbook has a corrupted file and my other textbook doesn’t even acces and both these textbooks sometimes just disappear from the page ⁉️ this is utterly frustrating as these exams are important to me and I’m unable to study with these problems.

Best E-Book readers to have

I’ve been using snapplify for over 6 months now and so far it has been the best experience . I use it to store all my school textbooks and reading books and it works like a charm . Whenever you have any issue they are really quick to help you and you don't wait any longer than 1-2 hours to get feedback .

Seamless app and quick support

I have downloaded quite a few e-book reader apps for both personal and business use, but Snapplify is the only one that rivals Apple’s Books app. It is a pleasure to use on my iPad! The support team are super responsive to queries and you will never get “lost” in their inbox. Highly recommended!

Great Customer Service!

I recently had a problem with one of my books not displaying, but it was quickly resolved via the chat function through their website. And when the issue needed further assistance, it was passed on to the IT team who managed to solve the problem via email.

Now I have all the books I need and if I ever want more, I can just look at the impressive collection to choose from!

I easily found all the necessary books for the year for my daughter, Snapplify thoughtfully put it in a ready bundle to purchase. Aside from that, the app is easy to load, navigate and use. I also picked up an issue with a late purchase, and it was immediately sorted out the next day. Great app, great service.

Good App and excellent customer support

Snapplify is straightforward and easy to navigate. I made use of it while studying my PGCE and it came in handy when I needed information from various books of different grade levels.

Additionally, I had one issue with the license of a book I purchased 2 years ago and within a few hours on the same day the issue was resolved. I’m happy to be using snapplify again.

I downloaded this app on my iPhone 6 wanting to use it for school books and noticed not all my books were loading. I sent a review and the Snapplify team were swift at assisting me in getting my books. I’m impressed with the friendly customize service. Keep up the great work

My son has been impressed with his eTextbooks we downloaded. After reading a couple of poor reviews we were worried, but the product and company have been first class!

I had a problem with the payment page, but Snapplify rectified the problem quickly and I could download the textbook

Great customer service

Snapplify solved my query with downloading e-books that I have purchased on a Sunday afternoon! Their customer care support person was extremely professional and addressed my query at the speed of lightning. She assisted and did more than expected, by linking the e-books to my account. What a joy!

Very impressed with Snapplify and the support!!

I downloaded the Snapplify app onto my iPad last year when I desperately needed a textbook for my daughter. The download happened immediately after I had purchased the book and was immediately available in my library. It's excellent for viewing. I recently needed to purchase another ebook for exam revision this year but was having problems accessing the library. I pressed the chat button and was immediately contacted by someone (was very surprised by this quick response as its the weekend). The support staff was very quick and efficiently sorted my problem in less than 5 minutes. I instantly got access to my library - the problem was that I was logging in incorrectly and he was able to identify the issue immediately. My daughter is now revising and catching up. Thank you. I will recommend Snapplify to my family and colleagues! Great sleek app!

Most helpful app and support

I use the Snapplify app on my ipad (old model) for all my schoolbooks. I use these books everyday and download several books during a school term. I once had an issue with downloading a newly purchased book - I've sent an e-mail (after-hours) to support and it was fixed in less than 10 minutes. They made my day as I urgently needed access to the book. Thank you Snapplify support for your outstanding support and easy to use app

Waste of money!!!

I have wasted my money buying an Afrikaans e-book from Lapa Uitgewers to read. This app is NOT user friendly. If I want to turn a page it turns to the next chapter. When I try to go back it turns to the previous chapter, not the previous page. Then it only skips from chapter to chapter forward and/or backwards. It refuses to turn only one page at a time and thus makes it impossible for me to read my book! I.e. A WASTE OF MY MONEY!!! I can also not clearly see which page I am on as the page numbers are too far down below. The page scroll bar at the bottom also does not work. I have searched for an e-reader platform where I can read Afrikaans story books and was happy when I found this app, but now I am very disappointed. I will return to my Google Play Books and only read English then 😢

Clunky and tedious app

We use many readers in our homeschool. This is by far the most user-unfriendly app.

It is much more difficult to navigate in the books compared to other reader apps.

However, what is most frustrating is that it seems we have to download our books every day, only to find the next day you have to download them again! I am not sure if it disappears with updates or what it is about, but it wastes time and bandwidth, not to mention frustrates the students.

Super Tech Support

The tech support team is absolutely amazing . I was expecting to wait or to chat to a bot about a minor problem but the tech support was amazing . Guided me through all the steps I needed for a glitch .

This is the second time I’ve used their chat section and the response is always amazing . Great app !

Needs major bug fixes!

The app is useful overall. But, it's very annoying when every time I open the app it downloads the books that had already been downloaded, again. The app also automatically downloads books which I find irritating because I should be able to control what I need downloaded and what I do not need downloaded. The app ends up taking a lot more space than it needs after downloading each of the same books to my device for the 10th time. Please address this!

I am not enjoying this

The app is confusing. The whole set up is not practical. For example the library will be empty even if you have supposedly downloaded books or added them to your library. The Snapplify reader doesn’t exist. I follow the prompts and the my phone says that the app already exist in my phone and that I should open it. I open the app and it’s the normal Snapplify. The little chat assistant box keeps asking for my name—- I have already logged into my account do I have to repeat my name every single time. I don’t know how the engage platform works.

Everything is mixed up.

A Suggestion.

•When logging into the account could the app remember the logging details.

•Can the library and downloaded book be visible on the the users profile page

•when filling out the log in details please include (Grade, school(optional), subjects the student does in school. - this would simplify the use of the app and decrease the search time trying to find relevant books.

As a student I am in distress with the loss of time I should be spending in school. This app is highly recommended and during this time of uncertainty due to covid-19. The app may have allowed free access to books but is adding more stress to an already stressful time.

Perfect for reading educational or general eBooks

The app works really well, and has a lot of useful features (notes, shared notes, highlights, linking content) and Snapplify have all the required curriculum content, and some good free stuff too!

More than disappointing

Two books I bought are still not in my library. Have to download books again and again often without success. Always “your app needs updating” or “uninstall and re-install” etc. just NOT acceptable.
