They is something really off about these apps, some do not allow you to review trip options. It forces you to stick to your location to destination. No flexibility or options. I had to use WYZE to get home when I was lost in JHB

By now everyone should know how bad AI is for the environment. I used to be able to add “-AI” at the end of my searches to avoid AI overview (which doesn’t give correct information or sources anyway) but now they’ve ‘fixed’ that and i get AI overview no matter what. I’m tired of AI being forced into everything. Why can’t you promote critical thinking skills instead of having AI do all the mental work for you? Why isn’t there an option to remove AI overview from search results for the people that actually like to use their brain? This search engine has lost its credibility.

Useless app! Language suddenly ENGLISH!
What a useless app since 16 October 2024. Suddenly all my search results are in English. Shame, if you want to add AI to your system, You should try OpenAI’s chatbots. At least they speak Afrikaans, understand it well, and serch the web for Afrikaans content when I ask a question in AFRIKAANS!
Was my favourite app, have deleted it from my iPad and Mac. I have enough frustrations in my life, useless apps certainly do not need to be in my life as well.
Just like Microsoft: Change things that work, too dumn to understand that users have options. Useless companies are not one of our options. I suggest that you appoint people who can improve your apps, not make it useless!

What happened?
Why do I lose all my tabs when I close the app? Usually when I open the browser all my tabs I had before closing chrome would still be there. Now every time I open chrome all my tabs are gone. Is there a setting i should change or what?

Current version is terrible
Chrome has been my favourite browser on iPad for years, but since getting an iPad Air 4th gen a month ago and downloading this version, it has been a pain in the backside. Pages that loads in a snap in Safari just doesn’t load. When I type in a new search phrase and click search or tap enter on my keyboard, it just reloads the previous page or does nothing at all. I have to open a new tab just to get it to accept the new search phrase, and then it loads so slowly I usually give up and go to Safari. Has just made Safari my default browser - the first time I’ve had to do this since my first iPad many years ago (an iPad 2). I have deleted and re-installed Chrome. I have cleared search history. I have forced closed and restarted the app many times. I have closed all tabs and retried, it is still buggy. I hope the developer will fix these issue soon, because when it works, I still prefer the way Chrome presents the info and it seems to better “know” what I’m looking for than Safari (always has and still does when it decides to load a page).

Keeps crashing
The app just keeps closing/restarting - over and over again- closing all my tabs in the process - had a similar problem on my 8 plus- but it’s doing on my 12 pro max now - so I don’t think it’s the devices 🚮 someone fix it because wow- I don’t want to switch browsers 😢

The only thing that prevents Chrome from meeting all of my needs, is a dedicated downloads section in the browser where you can access all the files you downloaded through it.
It’s such an important feature, and one I sorely miss in Chrome.

It’s good but...
Google chrome is an extraordinary browser. I rarely encounter problems with it. It provides many features that you may you daily such as the recommended articles and being able to sync with other devices. It’s my default browser but all it needs to make it perfect is a dark mode in my opinion.

Can’t switch accounts anymore!

Please give us back the ability to switch accounts in Chrome, like all the other Google apps allow??!?
I can see all my accounts, but Chrome is stuck on the last one I had before a recent update and there is no longer anything in settings that allows me to switch the account to sync with 😢

New design isn’t as good, especially for 1 hand
I tried switching to Firefox a few months back and switched back to chrome because the tab management was much better, when switching and when closing.
With the new chrome, I quit the app several times because I thought I had loaded the wrong app. It’s almost identical (to Firefox) The tab windows aren’t as good, you could see many more tabs on the old version and the closing of tabs worked better too, could see more tab headings and use a fluid movement of a finger to close, rather than having to click on one specific spot. You also never had to stretch your hand on a larger phone as you could bring the tab to be closed down to where your hand was so for several reasons, new browser is much worse for 1-handed use, which is how most people use a browser on a phone.
Firefox closing at least incorporated a bit of a hybrid where u can swipe left or right to close but can still only see 6 icons and have to stretch your finger to close stuff on the far side of the screen.

Love the changes to normal mode and incognito modes with how we can swap between.
The way of swapping between tabs still needs some work. Would like to see swipe functions and other ways looked at. Ways of swapping between modes can also be optimised.

The app repeatedly doesn’t keep in sync with my other browsers. The UX needs to be updated to accommodate one-handed use, especially with something as simple as opening a new tab. Safari does this well and I can’t help but think that moving a few buttons to the bottom would make this app brilliant

Recently glitchy in recent updates
I have been using chrome as long as I've had an iOS device, prefer it over all other browsers. But recent updates of chrome have caused my iPad to reload pages or reveal "aw snap" message after a while of being on page which wasn't there previously. Checked Internet and tried rebooting but no luck. Once fixed 5 star rating shall follow.
