Great only when it chooses to work
Every-time I watch on my phone when I go to the next episode it loads and loads and all of the sudden says video unavailable. It’s so frustrating because the rest of the day I can’t watch that exact episode the one before and after always works, it has happened 4 days in a row now.

If I could give zero stars I would. I cannot discourage you enough to NEVER get this app. Do not do it. It constantly logs you out and requires you to get a subscription despite having paid your subscription multiple times. Further, they do not have any form of customer service for their customers in South Africa. So when you do experience issues, which you will, you cannot get any help.

Not In Control Of My Remote!
I am not able to understand how a simple guesture to put us in control of our remotes is impossible in this day and age is mind blowing. If I wanted ads, I wouldn't pay for a streaming app plus, it's annoying that it just automatically plays some other random series or movie when you finish something. Subscription issues
Hello guys I’ve downloaded the prime video app on my iPhone as well as my MacBook Pro. I’ve subscribed for the free trial and after 7 days I’m assuming they will start deducting the monthly subscription. But when I go into the app to use it. It keeps prompting me to try the free trial and asks me to scan and pay. When I click on that it tells me I already have a subscription. What’s the problem here ? Is this an error on prime side ? They scammed me. Please fix the downloading bug
Content wise Prime has a good variety of shows and movies to watch. However i do wish the downloading option were less buggy and did not pause or freeze on downloads with fluctuating wifi and/or data speeds downloading has become the next go-to and sometimes the preferred option. Great content, bad app
The content is great but the app is aweful. If you watch something without pausing or stopping then you might get through an episode without crashing.
When casting on Chromecast you can play one episode okay, but to keep functionality on the app for the next episode you need to stop and restart the app.
Definitely not the same quality as the Netflix app.

I love the Apple TV version of the app but I think it could do with some enhancements such as using the native Apple player. The native Apple player delivers superior performance and quality. Great content, app is rubbish. If you close your phone, it will open on frozen screen and have to close the app completely. Also sometime functions stop working, i could not get out of x Ray view to full screen dn had to close the app. If you go to another app and back in same thing. Downloads never work. Affordable and a lot of content
Prime has a lot of content that goes back to the classics, many of which is not available on other streaming platforms. The only annoying thing is that Prime does not not keep accurate track of where you within episodes and seasons. It will start replaying in wrong episode or season.

Thoughtless user experience
The Prime Video app for tv keeps going back to the earliest incomplete episode in the season instead of the last episode I was watching. Even if I go out of the app for a second, I’ll have to scroll back to where I was. Very annoying. Two stars because the mobile app doesn’t have the same problem.

Incredibly buggy of late
The app started off fine, but since a recent update has been so horribly buggy it is borderline impossible to use. The app crashes after every download, randomly freezes for a good minute, downloads the wrong languages for the program simply because the last one you watched was perhaps a different language. The app has become a nightmare to use despite the quality and availability of the content really rising to the occasion.

Color saturation issue on mobile.
I live in South Africa. So lots of the content is restricted because someone else owns rights to air it or whatever. Expect waiting 1 year at the least to watch a new season is some shows. Expect to not even find some shows. But that isn’t even my main gripe. For some reason, on my iPhone 6 the color changes on South Park when the characters are in a dark-ish room. Their skin color goes green or blue. Soon as I tap on screen and overlay appears, and then resume playing, it’s normal for a few seconds then changes back to the green like hue or saturation.

I downloaded the app and paid the subscription fee, no problem. I have wifi but it says I have no internet connection so I have not been able to view anything ever. Even when I use mobile data I’m not able to use it. No 4K UI on Apple TV 4K
Streaming works well on apple TV, but app is slow and the low resolution and low quality series and movie thumbnails throughout the ui makes it feel like a piece of software straight out of 2010. Love the content and will update my review if the app is updated.

There is a fantastic and vast range.
However that makes finding something to watch difficult.
A suggestion may be to further filter categories into decades or create more filters that will help make the selection.
I mean, 1500 videos for ‘comedy’ movies is great but it also means lots of time searching for the right movie and by then, you don’t feel like watching anymore.

Search function is abysmal. Home screen is below average.

Great app, but...
I keep getting logged out of the app. I switch from it to another app to do something and when I switch back I have to log in again. A bit frustrating.

Disappearing downloads
The apps keeps making my downloads disappear. It makes no sense at all because things disappear a few hours after downloading

Update Xbox app
This may not be the right platform but you guys need to update your XBOX One app, it’s over 2 years outdated. You can’t skip ads or intros.
