I do not like the fact that Word on my IOS does not have many features such as page break and section breaks, better insertion of endnotes and footnotes. The app is very much limited in almost every aspect. Most important features are not available, making the app less useful because in order to make other adjustments one will need access to a computer or laptop.
I am deeply dissatisfied with the current version of the app.

Slow, Clunky and Inefficient
When it comes to anything that has to do with graphics(images, graphs etc.) Word fails to provide every single time. With how clunky and inaccurate it is to resize images, how slow the app is, and how most of the time it won’t let me select the image I’m trying to edit, Word is always disappointing. Not to mention its exporting is extremely inconsistent as well. Sometimes it won’t let me export to certain folders and places and doesn’t provide a reason or a fix for it??? All in all, extremely horrible and frustrating, 2/5, do better Microsoft.

This app needs help on iPhone / iPad
This app is literally as janky as GTA 6 on a Wii on iPad. I was busy writing a children’s book for a project, the typing and text were okay, but the photos, that’s a whole new story. The amount of times I had to leave the app and go back I just to edit the size of a photo is staggering.

Infuriating
This is such a useless app. I’ll be in the middle of writing a sentence far into my essay and the document will repeatedly scroll up to the middle of the first page! The app freezes all the time too and it’s so difficult to put the cursor where you want, especially when Word finds it necessary to highlight a supposed error. I prefer writing on my phone instead of my laptop but this app is so useless compared to the PC version.

Constant nagging for subscription
I have a subscription for Office 365 for both my laptop and mobile devices; however, every day when I open Excel or Word on my iPad, the app refuses to remember that my subscription is valid. It needs to constantly connect online and verify that I have a subscription, which leads to lagging apps and long wait times before I can start working. This causes a lot of frustration, especially when I’m traveling in an area with poor signal.

It glitches, it goes on slow motion drive the more pages you add in. It doesnt write in colour on word document to show, only when you mail. It puts the picture inserts where it wants and where you put them. Its actually horrible, battled so much to get it right i had to screenshot each page to get them right and to print it in the right order i want them to.

Ms word keeps crashing and it makes my iPad slow. I have the 11 inch 2nd gen iPad Pro and keeping Word open in the background takes up a tremendous amount of space. WordIs a good program. The only missing things that is really slowing a person down on the app isHe does not work well with OneDrive. Secondly the ribbon is horrible and the last thing is extremely bad referencing capabilities and not being able to put in an index. Other than that it is not a bad app but for iPad users I would rather recommend pages because of the limitations of the app.

It’s incredibly stupid how if I wanna to select a line that I’ve drawn, I’ve got to click on that line. I do not have food fine motor skills and if I wanted to select a line, it would take me 2 whole minutes to get my cursor on that line so I could click on it. That’s bloody ridiculous. Although very capable and great for editing on the go, it starts to lag after 15 or so minutes of light editing use (iPad Air 4) and I have found that it doesn’t have times new Roman installed which is weird and makes it quickly annoying to use.

The Simple stuff
Guys please...everyone does not have time to figure out how to “specifically number pages on different page numbers”, or align one page one way and completely change alignment of another.... working on word can be frustrating when you trying to do a simple thing but need to know various steps which do not make sense and takes sooo much time out of your work - and it’s all things that seems like it can be done just by the click of a button, this goes for working on the pc mostly but I’m sure many other customers can relate....

Thanks for this awesome app but there is something wrong with mine, whenever I try to highlight or put colors on the document, it always turns out dark blue, not the colors I want. Even when I import documents, highlights turn our blue and I can’t colors letters. Please fix this somehow because it is very inconvenient. Otherwise a totally amazing app!!

MS Word for iPad has been a lifesaver for me!
I’m a university student doing engineering, so using my iPad helps a lot. The one gripe I have is that doing scientific and engineering based content, I really need the full functionally of extra symbols and equations (under the insert tab).
In general, I’d love to see the iPad version resemble the Windows desktop version as closely as possible, but otherwise it’s truly awesome!

Not user friendly at all. When working in this app, scrolling up and down glitches. There are limited options to edit the document therefore you cannot solely rely on the iPad app you have to revert to a Microsoft device.
My main problem is that once my document is saved on my iPad and I come back later to work on it, I am left with a black page with all my word lost.

It would make it even a better app if...you can have a lasso button to capture your writings with the pen and shift that around, enlarging and shrinking it, etc., the same functionalty as in OneNote... It is handy to use Word in videos explaining concepts to students; fortunately Word does allow you to write with the pen on an Ipad in the Word document, but you can still not shift your writings around as explained above... also the undo button makes the cursor jump to the left margin everytime you use it, very irritating...

As a teacher, I use Microsoft Word daily. This app is amazing and it makes my work so mush easier! I want to thank Microsoft and Apple for looking out for teacher, mainly having us in mind with apps like Teams and Word. Please keep this up.

Still the industry norm; even on Mac
Microsoft Word is still the benchmark for writing in business; even on Apple iPad.
Unfortunately, just like with the 365 Office-suite for MacBook; Microsoft still omits some useful functions in the Mac guise. Yes, it is a Microsoft application for Apple...
Microsoft Office suite remains the most universally excepted platform, and although the Mac versions have drastically improved over the years - it is still easier to just “conform” whilst still utilizing the Apple platform.

Problems
When accessing files from OneDrive with my iPad , there is a short list of the files available that are on my PC not all are accessible. A number of files which were simple text became “corrupt” and were unusable from OneDrive had to redo them.
Images uploaded to OneDrive were inaccessible .
Kindly attend to these issues as I don’t think they are unique to me

Presentation view, please!
This is a great mobile version of the app that allows you to do most of the things that you might want to do while on the go. It’s also easy to use and has great integration with cloud storage.
I would love to see a presentation view (I don’t mean the mobile view) that allows one to scroll up and down one’s document only and prevents the keypad from appearing if you tap the text accidentally. I use word to view my notes when giving speeches, and I’ve lost my place on numerous occasions by accidentally touching the text.

Word on the iPhone
The application is remarkably new function on the iPhone. I did not think I would like it on the iPhone since most of the other dictation and what processing programs on the iPhone is well hampered.
Even this review was done with the iPhone dictation ability. It makes editing documents so much easier than having to sit and type and we type and fat finger almost half of what I wanted to say. But you know this works for you, you want me to try to yourself because it wants word usage, documentation needs, and editing needs are different. When I consider all the other options when using word, my usage of word is probably at the lower end and I still have a lot to learn before I use all the functionality.

PC on Mobile 🙌🏾
I first downloaded this app in vain, thinking that it might be useful for merely reading my assignments and nothing. I thought it would be impossible to do more intricate things on this app; like paragraph formatting, page breaks and that was just the lesser of my thoughts. Boy, was I wrong.
My housemate asked me to read through his thesis and edit where it’s necessary, so I knew the only effective way to do this on Microsoft Word would be through the use of Tracking Changes. Track Changes shows and makes note of each change on a document. YOU CAN USE TRACK CHANGES ON THIS APP! Above and beyond that, you can do almost everything that you can do on MS Word PC on this very app! What impressed me more is how your mobile Word app and your PC Word can work in complete sync.
There’s so much more I could say about this app. If you’ve read this far, look no further. This is the best Word Processing Application on iOS (the GOAT on PC too 🤷🏾♂️).

Okay, but not great
You can do the basic things that you need to do. Doesn’t have all the features that you need like creating a table of contents or a shortcut to enter a footnote. Small things that could make this app great.
