Description

Beame, a brand by Powerfleet, ensures your stolen vehicle recovery is ‘Simply Sorted’, in the unfortunate event of a car theft or a hijacking, Beame offers a recovery service with one of the highest recovery rates on the market. The Beame Smartphone App makes it easy to check on your unit’s status, check your battery health, report a stolen vehicle, request your insurance certificate, sign up for the Beame Protect service or register a claim if you already subscribe to the Beame Protect Service.
The app is free to download and can be used by all Beame customers. If you have an active Beame account, please access WhatsApp, or email customercare@beame.co.za or call 0860 BEAME1 (0860 232 631) for your app login credentials.
The status on the app indicates whether your Beame unit is working and if the battery needs replacement – if you see a thumbs down then there may be a problem with the unit and you should contact us to resolve this via Whatsapp.
Please note: Beame is for stolen vehicle RECOVERY ONLY. It's not a tracking service which enables you to view the live movement of your car on a map, however it is meant to display area based locations for when your vehicle is seen on the network. Our sophisticated technology enables us to find your vehicle once you report it as stolen.
How does the Beame service work?
The small, wireless device is installed into vehicles, trailers, caravans, motorcycles and quad bikes by one of our approved fitment centres. The installation is quick and easy as it is not connected to the car’s battery or wiring. The Beame device has a Lifetime Warranty and is powered by a battery that lasts for at least 3 years, after which it will be replaced at no charge (T&C’s apply). National Network coverage ensures your vehicle is covered anywhere in South Africa. Jamming Detect technology can detect vehicle jamming to alert the Control Centre, helping to combat vehicle theft.

Boring and bad UI

The app’s look and feel is severely dated. The app could be more intuitive. One cannot monitor the location of your vehicle when you access the app from outside the borders of South Africa. No explanation, no user friendly message, just nothing. I will definitely find myself a more decent tracking company very soon.

Unless app

It shows the vehicle parked at the mall for 2 days, that time the vehicle is in a different city. Worst tracking app ever!

Very old and very inconsistent.

Bad app that does not show the exact location, very slow to update and you not able to use as you go, they would learn a lot from car track.

Very limited functionality

Very limited app with a very old design.

Not up to date or realtime

Just a bad app with bad interface, sensitive when zooming in and out. Was looking for an alternative to Tracker. Tracker app is better although not perfect. It defeats the purpose of not showing realtime movements of vehicles.
