A bit disappointed
There was a huge delay in typing and deleting text. It’s quicker to write this review then it is to write on Google Docs. And that’s disappointing because I use it so often but the app is just very slow. I don’t know where the disconnect is, but it’s not user-friendly.

Unreadable formats
It’s changes the formats and makes them unreadable because paragraphs become vertical and not horizontal like on a normal pc screen so it’s useless to have it on the phone.
It also makes everything black & white changing the original characteristics of the document.

For daily use
I use Google Docs daily as it is the best way to capture my daily breakdown work journalling as well as schedule planning before it goes into my calendar. The only problem I have that some of my words are not transcribed accurately.

Brilliant for the free offering, over and above for the paid offering
I’ve been using this my university days, now as a working and successful adult, it’s a tool that I could not go a day without using. Highly reliable, great for collaboration and coordination with teams.
What could be a greater value for money offering is adding templates for small businesses. There’s where the missing star has gone.

Google Docs (word processor) and Google Sheets (spreadsheet ) app work great. Lovely to use. Easy to use once you know how. They are cloud based apps. But work just as well off line once they have been set up.

Closes when I open other apps
Can you guys please fix this issue? It’s such a pain that when I need to have a look at something else the document I’m working on closes and then I have to find my place all over again.
I don’t know if it’s an iPad only problem, but it’s incredibly disruptive to work I do using this app.

Not user friendly when adding shapes etc.
On desktop it is a breeze and the ability to customise is great but on mobile it is quite a hassle to do this. Drawing shapes is a problem among other things. So to make notes on your phone won’t work unless you make it basic.

Google, your GSuite products on iPad are an unfunny joke, and they always have been. They lack features from both the desktop versions of themselves as well as alternatives available on the iPad. Your apps are ugly as well. Do you want people to switch to using Chromebooks? If that’s the point of making these apps as bad as they are, then how about you make Chromebooks better, instead?

Google Docs: an app lacking in every way
I use google docs for almost every piece of work I do, but the fact that the app version still lacks in so many areas and features compared to to the browser version is honestly embarrassing at this point. From the mission it takes to edit the size of images with placement and dragging features not even working at all, to the editing bar that is so minimal it’s perceived as laziness. Technology has improved and continues to improve rapidly so the excuse of keeping the app incredibly simple to avoid software issues, crashes and storage problems can’t be an excuse. This app needs to be updated and it needs to be done now.

Poor performance
The more things change, the more they get worse with Google. In the latest version of this "app" installed on iOS14, spell check has disappeared, and there is no way of accessing your settings to change this.
Google Docs has become a quite awful disappointment with this latest version.

Worst app ever
I have been using docs for a long time and it can’t seem handle when I am on a document with a lot of words. Recently I was on a very important document and it deleted all of the stuff on the document. Docs is a waste of time and I am sick of this useless junk. It’s badly developed and it’s useless.

Lags out a lot, don’t waste your time
The app has never run smoothly on my iPad. I have an IPad Air 2 which runs MS Word easily. Docs has always been extremely laggy and non-responsive if your internet connection speed isn’t through the roof. It is a waste of time and crashes at random intervals. If there isn’t a Server in your country don’t even try to work with Google Docs as it won’t auto-save consistantly and when it does it tends to get rid of most of what you had been working on

So much easier to use than Microsoft word. Especially with it's setup-free auto-save to the cloud. No need to go through setups and settings like with OneDrive. Link sharing, and collaboration tools are super useful for school or work.
