On this episode, we carry on the discussion about the many facets of growing up in a blended family setup, and also speak about parents who leave their kids behind after they get married.
“We worry about decorating a story way too much when we’re confessing to our kids about things like this; it stops being about the fact that you want to make sure your children are aware of what’s happening, and more about saving your own ass and making yourself look like you’re not the problem, or you didn’t abandon a child — whatever! Who cares?!”

An expertly curated offering

As a relative to you both, I initially felt like I was to close to be objective about the podcast. I must confess to feeling a bit cringe but that’s a story for another day. But I will say it wasn’t anything either of you said but more about my own feelings and reservations, I have now come to discover. Months later, I have returned and I am so pleasantly surprised to find that I am listening with a different ear. Almost objective even. In the first episode you’ve dealt with so many pertinent parenting issues in such a short period of time! All very much worth unpacking further.
This is an expertly put together offering. I hope that it allows you to work through the quagmire that is parenting feeling heard and supported by your community of listeners.
I definitely will be returning to these notes as I too navigate my parenting journey. May many others receive the gift.

Honest, Emotion evoking, Beautifully expressed

Looking forward to more episodes. Halfway in and already I know this is going to be carrying with me beyond the episode.
